Propmanoz 1 Posted September 30, 2014 Hi all, A random question. Does anyone know of a management sim style game for Sumo. Either in the "Play as a rikishi" style or a "manage a heya" style? (In Japanese or English). I have been searching but struggling to find one...
Domichi 13 Posted September 30, 2014 (edited) You have probably already come across this list, but here the the wikipedia article for Sumo related video games. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sumo_video_games The game below seems to be the best bet as far as a simulator (Finding ROMs for this game was surprisingly easy, I won't post a link here because I haven't read the TOS for the forums) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yokozuna_Monogatari Edited September 30, 2014 by Domichi

Gurowake 4,148 Posted October 2, 2014 That Virtual Sumo is actually really interesting. It's really old and the base rikishi are from the Akebono/Takanohana era, but there's still Aminishiki/Wakanosato/Kyokutenho there. If you lose on Day 15 with a 7-7 record it says "Make-koshi on the last day of the tournament? You should try yaocho!"; quite hilarious in retrospect of considering what happened since the game was made.
Jakusotsu 6,389 Posted October 2, 2014 Loved that game, and played it all the way through until it became ridiculous. Like a good friend of mine used to say "it's hard to keep on going once you achieved everything in life" B-)

Sakana 46 Posted October 4, 2014 Yokozuna Monogatari was interesting, but I never managed to get higher than low juryo... Always doing up/down between juryo and makushita... Does someone has a pro tip to get higher and to be yokozuna ? :-D
