HF met Hak there, but only for butsukari-geiko:

Hakuho was 16-1 against Toyonoshima and Sotairyu (Tokitsukaze) and Chiyootori (Kokonoe).

HF afterwards at the pre basho festival (zenyasai), rikishi and fans meeting, 2 yokozuna and 4 ozeki and about 600 fans. HF admitted that like the kid who asked him also for him having to eat much is harder than doing keiko.

Hakuhou went for degeiko at Kasugano beya today and faced the likes of Ikioi who also came for degeiko. 15 bouts against Ikioi and others and won them all. He especially singled out Myougiryuu who beat him last basho and slapped him around for 8 bouts. "No one, not only a Yokozuna, wants to lose two straight bashos to the same guy..That's why the keiko looked like it did today," explained Hakuhou. He also faced Goueidou three times and easily beat him. "Goueidou has 'it'. He has nothing to be ashamed of and should bow to no one. In order to become Ozeki, he has to be able to lend his chest to others, a sign of superiority. Doing 'small sumo' forever won't get him anywhere," said Hakuhou.

"I thought I was going to die.. I was on the verge of vomiting. A bit more of keiko and the dohyo was about to be covered in vomit.." said Chiyotairyuu after the session with Hakuhou yesterday. He did beat him three times, though. "I guess I had some powerful tachiais too.." he added.

Chiyotairyuu aggravated his injured left elbow during the keiko session two days ago. He canceled his plans to go for degeiko again yesterday and did light shiko under the close supervision of Kokonoe Oyakata. "My elbow still hurts but during the basho the adrenaline flows so I'll be fine. For the sake of the shisho and myself, I really want to beat the joijin.." he said.

Hak finished keiko on the 7th at his heya: 80% ready, the rest comes during the basho.

11 times tachi-ai check, 4 times in grappling position, and then 11 times presenting his chest in butsukari-geiko with Daikiho.

Doing the basics:

The Miyagino-beya koenkai pre-basho party was on the 7th, about 300 supporters. Hakuho aims for his 4th Osaka yusho in a row.

HF yesterday at the 2nd day to Tokitsukaze, 11-1 with Kakuryu. The remaining 3 days till shonichi he makes last adjustments in Isegahama-beya.
