(Hehe...) Will the promotion (fingers crossed) be announced before the next banzuke?

Congrats, Asashoryu. And Kasugao. (Thumbs up...) (Happy...)

I think that big promotions (to Ozeki, Yokozuna, and first-time juryo promotions) are always announced early, about a week or so after the basho (?) so the rikishi in question can prepare everything (new tsuna for yokozuna, kesho-mawashi for new sekitori, what? for ozeki). So, we'll know soon enough. Don't we already? ;)

I hope so guys I really do-

Ive had my eye on Asashoryu almost from his first Makuuchi basho,I knew he was going places.

While where on the congratulations,A hearty one for Juryo winner Asakiryu and Asanowaka on getting his Kachi-Koshi despite a poor start to the basho ,nice going.

Did I miss any Asa's?

The shin-Juryo's are announced on Wednesday morning after the basho, and I think the same goes for Yokozunas and Ozekis although I'm not totally sure about that.

This article I found on Japan Today's website said:

Asashoryu is expected to receive the final nod from the Japan Sumo Association (JSA) for his promotion to sumo's highest rank Wednesday after meeting the requirements of winning the 15-day tournament at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo with 13 or more wins.

So I'd put my money on Wednesday, too. Oh, the suspense...

You're welcome, Fujisan. If you liked that, maybe you should take a look at this. Ryann Connell of Mainichi dubs Asashoryu "The Dohyo Dominator" and "The Marvelous Mongolian". He must be a fan too. :-(
