Kaio, Musashimaru, Musoyama, Sakke..

KaioU did 23 bouts against Kotomitsuki, Kotonowaka and Takamisakari winning 22. He was evidently looking rather aggressive against Takamisakari whom he manhandled in all 6 bouts. Takamisakari's keiko strength was discussed in Sponichi article but I am sure Kintamayama will explain more details if he wishes. "At Aki basho my body was useless. I'll do my best in order to not have such a state in Kyushu. I'll prepare with my own pace."

KaioU demonstrating a new technique called "Get off my face!" and Takamisakari silently thinks exactly the same....

Asashoryu skipped training and only discussed with Chiyotaikai who came to Takasago to train. Waist injury not healed yet, complained about his elbow a bit too.

Musashimaru battled against Miyabiyama, Wakanoyama and others at Musashigawa-beya winning 15 out of 19 bouts. He lacks endurance and after 10 bouts his breathing is heavy and sideways movement insufficient. Oyakata is worried about his endurance.

Musoyama 10 bouts winning all 10.....gee never heard that one before...

(In a bad mood...) ummm... Asashoryu needs to keep up in a pace.

Since he started skipping keiko, looks like Kyushu basho would be little bit tough fot him . (Laughing...)

Looking at the picture above, has there ever been an actual basho fight where one rikishi simply put his hand(s) on the other's face and pushed him down/out? I think that would be legal. What would the kimarite be? (In a state of confusion...)

Put like that, it would probably be considered oshidashi (or oshitaoshi depending on whether the opponent went down or straight out).
