Manekineko 200 Posted October 27, 2003 Impression n. 1: Kaio had 6-1 and blew it! Amazing! I guess it didn't hit me so hard when following it "live", 'cause first we were waiting for him to challenge for yusho, and then when he wasted that chance it was still far from my mind at least that it could turn into a fight for kk... Amazing, mk from 6-1 start. Ouch... Impression n.2: Hokutoriki is extremely twitchy at the tachiai - nerves, my guess. Also, he has the cutest smile when he's happy (after his first win), and looked extremely funny when he tried to surpress his joy (after his second win - over Chiyotaikai no less) by making a fierce face. (In a state of confusion...) Or what he thought would pass as a fierce face. I'm starting to seriously like this Riki II...

Kashunowaka 300 Posted October 27, 2003 Impression #3: Kinkaiyama has gained some weight, hasn't he? #4: What was that on Tamanoshima's back?! Could it be that he too ... (In a state of confusion...)
Fujisan 533 Posted October 27, 2003 (edited) Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How come everybody saw this basho except me? Theres no way it was on Eurosport not on my ruddy Tv it wasn't- And if it was why did you give me the wrong time- This is a conspiracy. Manekineko 200 Posted October 27, 2003 It was 19-20 CET on Saturday (6 p.m. in UK summer time), and 19.45-21.30 CET (6.45 p.m. in UK winter time, if you have winter/summer time?). Today should be last two shows, and then re-runs immediately. It is possible that you have British Eurosport, which occasionaly has different shows than Eurosport in general. In that case, my commiserations. (In a state of confusion...)

Fujisan 533 Posted October 27, 2003 No there was no Sumo on my Eurosport tonight- K1 was on for 2 hours- And if it was the washing machine Kinta,It wouldn't explain how I get the internet on it- You see I can get on the internet with the Tv picture in the top corner of the screen, which is what I do whilst watching Eurosport for the basho. To me it appears he has improved his strengt quite substantially. Also the improvements of Iwakayama. He is one big brute and as soon as he gets totally comfortable at "pushing" sumo he is gonna dominate a lot of his opponents. He has definetely found HIS WAY to win consistently and he is getting good at it! And great to see Kotomitsuki performing at a high level again but will he ever be as good as he once was?
