A forum guess then was a Turkish half - at least no foreigner, else he would not have been on the banzuke the next basho. Googling that last name brings up Ece Muniroglu, a composer for US movies and TV; born in Istanbul, she has a B.Arch. from Istanbul Tech Univ. and a B.A. in Composing and Production from Berklee College of Music.
