What a wall we have. 2 new entries in Makuuchi and 3 in Juryo. The 3 survivors from last basho are all career-wallees, never had a MK. Onosato pushing hard for Yokozuna promotion. White smoke after basho?

Onosato option 1 is a little ambiguous—he could get a D/J without promotion, depending on the score. And, while I'm at it, I doubt Daieisho gets promoted with 12, unless it's a yusho.

Yeah, i should have left out Y/D/J. In the end it doesn't matter how he got promoted. Daieisho had (starting from M1) 11-4, 8-7, 8-7, 8-7, 11-4, 9-6 over the last year. Starting from 2023.01 he had only a single 6-9 MK in 2014.03 out of 14 basho. Since he reached Sanyaku the first time in 2020.01, his lowest rank was M4 (once). 1x M2, 7x M1, 10x K, 13x S. I never payed him that much attention, so i was a bit surprised. One has to admit he's no fluke. The unwritten requirements for Ozeki promotion are 32 wins over 3 consecutive basho. I am neither a fan, nor do i think he can get those 12 wins. But im 100% positive it would be enough, because - even in my eyes - he'd be worth a shot.

I'd say the unwritten requirements are 33/3, which can be relaxed to 32 if circumstances warrant. He should be undeniable with 13, but if it's 12 and not Y/D, I'm not sure how motivated they'll be to promote him, despite the consistency he's shown.
