Athenayama 1,200 Posted April 2, 2024 This was really unexpected, what a surprise ! I am extremely flattered that the board took this decision and amended its rules. I am truly honored. I was preparing for a tremendous May and July tournaments to be worthy to reach the highest rank. That said, actually now I am even more motivated to perform "greatly" in the future not only to prove I am worthy of this promotion but also to confirm that the board took the right decision and make them proud of it. I have a big responsibility now, be assured I'll do my best every single day as long as my body will allow it ! Thank you and see you on the dohyo !
