Forgive me for my ignorance, but what is up with Shohozan's back? He looks like he has all these round burn scars on him today and I have never noticed them there before.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but what is up with Shohozan's back? He looks like he has all these round burn scars on him today and I have never noticed them there before.

They are marks from burn cups, a common oriental medical treatment. Heated cups placed on the skin pull a vacuum as they cool and leave these round discolorations. Harumafuji, as Ama, used them often for a while. I have never seen so many at one time as were on Shohozan's back today.
