Yubiquitoyama 4 Posted November 21, 2002 I don't read Japanese and the translation programs aren't very good, so I would really want some help on translating this. My impression is that Mitoizumi (Nishikido-oyakata) will branch out from Takasago, creating a new heya from December 1st, using the old Takasago-beya building before a new one can be made, and taking 4 rikishi with him including Jonidan Umenokawa. Now two questions. First, did I understand this correctly, and secondly assuming the answer to the first was yes, isn't Mitoizumi still single? It seems a heavy burden to take on a new heya without an okamisan to help. http://sports.yahoo.co.jp/sumo....85.html
Manekineko 200 Posted November 21, 2002 Yes, I think that's what the article is about, but I'm no expert in Japanese. And yes, I haven't heard that he married. Perhaps he has a sister/aunt/niece/cousin willing to help him?
Tony 16 Posted November 23, 2002 Indeed, Nishikido Oyakata will open an heya ( Nishikido-beya ) 1st december. Four Takasago-beya's should follow him.
