Kintamayama 47,182 Posted January 5, 2004 (edited) Asashouryuu made an appearance at the YDC Souken today. He was seen laughing and in a good mood. "I had a cold and totally collapsed. I'm not exactly healthy yet. I would have done more today, but my body is still stiff ", he said, and proceeded to go 12-2 against Tochinonada, Tamanoshima, Takamisakari and other Sekiwake and lower. He even did a hearty tsuriotoshi against Tochinonada. This, after one whole week away from the dohyo. Shikashi, YDC members were visibly unpleased with his actions. "If one more incident occurs, I will issue a warning to him. I may even give him a retirement recommendation", said YDC member Watanabe-san. "We will probably discuss this at the after-basho meeting", he added. Takasago Oyakata "In the dohyo he's great. But outside of it..well.. He should start thinking of his duties as a Yokozuna and acting like one. He doesn't have to be told what to do."
