Kaikitsune Makoto 210 Posted March 15, 2003 Tochinohana the possibly neck area intervertebral disc problem burdened used his right electricty arm well today and kept pressure on Korean losing streaker notching his first win. Hokutoriki continued his winning ways and pulled down Kasuganishiki in a short unappealing bout. 6-1. Stunningly syncronized last shikiri meet between these two. Jumonji was as sharp as he has been throughout the tournament chasing defensive Buyuzan around the dohyo. Jumonji didn't have the power to finish him off letting Buyuzan counter every time. Finally Buyuzan shifted aside and dragged Jumo down. Spirited bout with lot of action. Without quite big mirarcles Akinoshima is very close to intai now. Sekiryu delivered a rather humiliating bum's rush to the veteran sending him running off the dohyo. Kyokai's video stream followed Akinoshima's journey on hanamichi back to shitaku-beya. Miyabiyama and Gojoro stood up and both did some sort of upright stance pushes before Miya shifted a bit and let Gojoro stumble across. When Gojoro turned to face Miya he was unceremoniosly ousted with simply thrust. Tsuumi and Tkido got grips and after a thinking session Tama tries a surge but Tsuumi is immovable and uses his shitate-grip to bulldoze Tamarikido out in spectacular fashion. Aminishiki dominated Kasugao with puzzlingly strong ottsuke and got his 4th convincing win. All Aminishiki's wins have been very powerful. Miyabiyama, Asasekiryu, Iwakiyama and now Kasugao. He was also good in his loss against Hokutoriki so he seems to be in rather sharp condition. Kasugao was awful without anything to offer today. M

QttP 0 Posted March 15, 2003 Toki doesn't have the strength. You know, it just never seizes to surprise me how someone as big as Toki can have so little strength and willpower.
Yoavoshimaru 0 Posted March 15, 2003 4 kensho. Nada vs Sakke. 2 big shoulder pump by Sakke. He removes sweatand salt from his eyes too. GREAT bout! Words don't tell. Good attempts by both and intensive struggle. Seesawing, persevering, Nada's power, Sakke's power, crowd cheering, wonderful sukuinage at the end. Entertaining sumo. Sakke earned those 4 kensho. This was an excellent bout, my favorite one of the day. I also like Iwakiyama and Takanotsuru. I get joy out of watching big men slammed down to the dohyo (Devilish thought) What kind of Wakanosato appears on the dohyo today? Good question. Unpredictable. Inconsistent. I thought his two wins would give him extra motivation, but I was wrong :-(
