Kinboshis and Rikishi Height Requirement?

I was just wondering seeing how Takamisakari defeated both yokozunas this tournament, if somebody has also done the same thing before? I mean beating more than one yokozuna in the same basho?

Also, I've seen Mainoumi's feature in Discovery Channel (a few times already, actually) and again thought about his need to have a silicon implant or something just to reach a height requirement to enter professional sumo. What exactly is the height requirement?

That happend a few times in the past (Akinoshima, Kotonowaka, Kaio, Tosanoumi, Dejima and others). Have a look on Chiyozakuras website http://www.sumoinfo.de with the listing of all kinboshi since 1989 ("Sumoinfo.de" -> "Trivia" -> "Alle Kinboshi seit 1989").

173 cm, but nowadays there is also a "second chance" for those from 167 cm and who really wants to be rikishi.

Four rikishi have won 3 kinboshi in one basho:

Wakanohana 1 1953.01

Asashio 4 1955.01

Tochiakagi 1979.11 and

Onokuni 1983.11

Why is there a height requirement for rikishi?
