I'll put my money on Spain, undoubtedly the best team of this tournament. Ganzohnesushi

Netherlands are born losers, it seems... Ganzohnesushi

Yeah, he made the right choice. GOAT. Ganzohnesushi

I'll take that yellow card easily... I know you have never played this game actively, so you can't really understand the emotions bound to it. Ganzohnesushi

Btw. Mr. Taylor... Jack Taylor was the English referee in the WC final 1974 between Germany and the Netherlands. While the first two penalties - one for Netherlands (was Hoeness fouling Cruyff really inside or outside the penalty area?) and one for Germany (Hölzenbein greatly made use of Jansens clumsy sliding tackle) were debatable he clearly denied Hölzenbein another penalty (Jansen again, bur this time with a very clear foul) and disallowed a clear goal by Gerd Müller in halftime two. It seems the Taylors from England are no good referees.... Ganzohnesushi

Moreover, England can be very glad that German referee Felix Zwayer went to the review area... Something that this a s s h o l e Mr. Taylor from England didn't do in the match between Germany and Spain. Ganzohnesushi

Why didn't England performed like this already from the beginning of the tournament? By far their best match so far, but as it is 1-1 at halftime anything can happen in the next 45 (75?) minutes. At least they have woken up and thus France now has won the title of the most boring team of the tournament. Ganzohnesushi

I second this. Ganzohnesushi

I may have lost my match but I'm sure I scored a 10th goal. Ganzohnesushi

Almost forgot this... Congrats to Nantonoyama for beating me after ET and sending me home. I'm tending to blame Anthony Taylor for this... Ganzohnesushi

So England won surprisingly a penalty shootout. Surprisingly? No, because Swiss keeper Yann Sommer is a total loser when it comes to penalties. In 8 years in Bundesliga he made only 4 saves, but conceded 40 (fourty!!!) goals. That is a 9,1% saving record. Must be one of the worst among Bundesliga keepers. I'm sure English football analysts were very much aware of this terrible record and I assume their recommendation was not to risk too much but simply play the ball somehow towards the goal. Then again I do not understand why Murat Yakin left Sommer in. If I were the Swiss coach I had brought in Gregor Kobel. Btw, the same mistake was made by German coach Helmut Schön already in 1976 when he refused to exchange Sepp Maier with Rudi Kargus. Maier, undoubtedly a world-class keeper, was not even average when it came to penalties. Rudi Kargus in these days and in his whole career had an excellent reputation as penalty killer (saved 21 of 74 penalties). Not included in these numbers are penalties which missed the goal, i.e. he conceded far less than 70%. Thus Czechoslovakia won the EM final on penalties ('til date the only penalty shootout ever that Germany had lost) and Antonin Panenka made Maier look like a fool. Louis van Gaal, the Dutch Coach, meanwhile had the balls to make this change in 2014 when he brought in Tim Krul for Jasper Cillesen. Krul made 2 saves and Netherlands won the penalty shootout vs. Costa Rica. Btw, I'm somehow glad that English player Bukayo Saka scored in the penalty shootout. I guess many of us remember the terrible racist taunts (by English fans(?)) made in social media after he missed in the final vs. Italy three years ago. Ganzohnesushi

England are so.... ..... ...... .... ..... .... ..... .... ...boring to watch. Glad I'll have to work again from minute 60 onwards. Ganzohnesushi

Unfortunately another train is waiting for me. Next beer only at 01:30 a.m.. Ganzohnesushi

I'm totally pissed. Wish Mr.Taylor bad sex for the rest of his life. Ganzohnesushi

Germany was robbed by Mr Taylor. The English Referee denied Germany a clear penalty. Fukc him. Ganzohnesushi

No miracle. Congrats to Joputosu. Ganzohnesushi

Miracle requested now.... Ganzohnesushi

Having seen brilliant Switzerland yesterday and dismal England just now, I can't imagine how England can survive the next round. But then again it is another game starting 0-0.... Ganzohnesushi

@Athenayama I guess my start is better than Nantonoyama's. Ganzohnesushi

Yeah, England have all the luck. I hope one team takes them to penalties Ganzohnesushi

What was that from Italy? Uninspired and weak, made me think of Shodai.... After this brilliant Swiss performance the 1-1 from Germany vs. Switzerland in the group stage reveals in a different light. Ganzohnesushi
