The new ISP Kyushu Banzuke based on the results from Aki'24 will be a challenge. It is just another mess with averages of 9,2 (Makuuchi), 8,25 (Juryo) and 8,6 (ms 1-10). 9 wins in Makuuchi more or less means the actual rank will be "frozen". Two additional Sanyaku spots might also help here. Finishing with 8 wins and below will result in significant demotions. In J and upper ms one win has to be deducted, i.e. 8-7 is seen as mk. You're absolutely right. I mixed this up with the three kyujo announcements on Day 11 (Hokutofuji, Tsurugisho and Shimazuumi), when two of these announcements were made after the deadline for the games. Ganzohnesushi

Excluding fusen from the score is not so easy in every case and from my point of view doesn't make sense. Simply look at the situation of Shirokuma vs. Takarafuj on Day 13. I had picked Takarafuji in S4 when I made my daily picks already a couple of hours before Shirokuma's kyujo was announced. His kyujo was announced on the Kyokai's web site only after the deadline for the picks. While in Seki Toto the cancellation of this Bout might have no further impacts, it has a significant effect in a game like S4. Simply leave the game rules as they are. Period. Ganzohnesushi

Here is a perfect example how to waste a possible Yusho. Simply spend less than 15 ANTE and you're not qualified. Heloyama missed to make a bet on Day 13 to stay in the lead. His final score tomorrow will be null and void. Ganzohnesushi

Appreciate the time Kachikoshi has invested to specify the advantages and disadvantages of the daily games. So we can see, that an absence of a player or a kyujo of Rikishi has not the same consequences in all the games. But irrespective of the different scenarios all games have one thing in common. The same rules apply to every participating player, so no advantage or disadvantage for anyone. I agree that living in different time zones might be a little handicap when Rikishi go kyujo. But hey, it is only a game and your life should not be affected by this. Ganzohnesushi

@Kachikoshi While you were summarizing the daily games you should have a look on the pre-basho games also. In some of these games you may ask for a kosho while the Japanese games POG, OBG and NorizoCup don't use this kosho rule. If you're not playing it is 0-0-15 and you will be demoted. We all have to live with these rules and I don't think any player ever has complained about it. Ganzohnesushi

Problem with the CL is, it is running for 8-9 months. Thus often enough CL and bashos will run at the same time. Now guess what my priority is. Moreover, I don't like the new CL format. Call me old-fashioned or romantic, but I wish we still had the original format from 1955 when it all started as "Coupe des Clubs Champions Européens". Why should 2nd, 3rd or 4th placed team play CL? They have won nothing, they simply don't deserve to participate. It should be for national Champions plus defending Champion only. Outsiders like Panathinaikos Athens, Malmö FF or Steaua Bucharest will never make it to the final again. Ganzohnesushi
