Yes. The transference to Isegahama was right before his debut in May 2024, hence he never having fought as a Miyagino-beya member officially.

Basically, he talked about how the company supported him since his active days, how their products helped with his sensitive skin or how he's open to new challenges. He also expressed his gratitude towards the Kakukai (sumo world), mentioning he wants to give back to it, for example with the products he sells and develops, or by helping other rikishi to find a second career in the same area. There was also the curious detail of him using his shikona, Onosho Fumiya, on his business card, rather than his real name, Utetsu Fumiya.

Yup, that's him. https://www.sponichi.co.jp/sports/news/2025/07/03/kiji/20250703s00005000320000c.html?page=1

Yes, it has already happened at least once. At Kyushu 2006, with Aminishiki and Asofuji, Roho and Hakurozan, and Toyozakura and Kitazakura. Going back until the 80s, I couldn't find any more cases, but I didn't search that thoroughly. Edit: According to Asofuji's wiki (both in English and Japanese), that was the first time. Don't know why it didn't occur to me to look there right away. After realizing Asofuji's promotion to Makuuchi was what lead to that situation back then, that would be the logical next step.

Ah, that makes sense. Anyway, the respective interview can be found on the Nihon University's website.

Nagoya Ozeki Promotion Tracking (Daiesho, Hosoryu, Wakmotoharu)
Karusoni replied to robnplunder's topic in Honbasho Talk
Correct. The last three double Ozeki promotions involved rikishi from Futagoyama-beya. Wakanohana I himself, then in Hanakago-beya, became Ozeki after a double promotion. The second and third to last double promotions were Futagoyama/Hanakago combinations. The double promotion before those was a Kasugano-beya pair. So not much variety in terms of stables when it comes to the last handful double promotions... -
Demidjamts is the taller and slimmer guy holding the salt. The guy doing butsu-kari with Hakuoho looks Mongolian too. At first I thought he could be Miyagino's nephew ムンフイデレ (Munhuidere?) who also took part in his danpatsu-shiki along Demidjamts, his teammate in Doshisha. But while trying to find out more about the nephew and concluding it was probably not him after all, I stumbled upon another Mongolian who I really think could be the guy in the video, ダライバートル (Dalaibataar?), who was Onosato's and Oshoma's teammate in NSSU.
