Hi, Profomisakari-san. Again I'm sorry all the inconveniences you went through during last months. I also promise that I didn't change anything of the web configuration recently It's weird that some of you can access the site and some others can't. And I'm really shocked when you said that your antivirus tool declared Cibersumo an unsafe site. I can't understand it. Not only I earn nothing with the web, but it costs me some money! As I told you in my last message, I noticed some months ago that sometimes the site loading was not quick enough. Probably it is because my hosting company is not as unselfish as me, and they are overloading the capabilities of their servers. Probably that's the reason for the error time-out messages. I tried to look for a better ISP but honestly I don't feel like spending more money for something that I don't get anything in return. I hope you understand. I wish there will be no more problems from now on. But if it's not the case, please anyone of you feel free to contact me at koldonowaka (at) cibersumo.com, and I'll try to solve it. As long as I love sumo, Cibersumo will be up and running (if my ISP allows it). Best regards

Sorry for the delay but honestly I don't usually check this sub-forum very often. Don't worry, you'll still be able to play for the next basho in November because you've only been kyujo twice in a row so far. But according to the game rules, it you are kyujo again this time your rikishi will be retired. I don't really know what's happening with the web. Some users experienced some problems when accessing the site but that's not really my case. If you have any other problem, please contact me directly by email to: koldonowaka@cibersumo.com Thanks!

You can declare your intai or what you want. But let me tell you that if you cannot access Cibersumo site probably it's not the site's fault. Cibersumo is up and running. I've been updating sumo and game contents for the last month without a problem. By chance, have you cleaned your browser's cache? Anyway, thanks for playing Cibersumo!

Hi everybody, I don't really know what's the problem you refer to. I was working in Paris for 15 days but I could update the basho results from there with no problem. As soon as I received Profomisakari's email I contacted my host server and they didn't find any problem. I even loaded Cibersumo web with no error either. I figured it was a temporal overloading in the server. I have been accessing the web all these days and I couldn't find any other problem. I did it some minutes ago as well. Actually I'm not very happy with my web provider and their bandwith capabilities. Probably I will move to another one at the end of the year. Anyway, can your confirm the problem persists? I can't understand what's happening. Regards, Jose Luis Corral Cibersumo webmaster

Hi sumogamers, As many of you already know Cibersumo is running from the last ten years and is still alive. If you haven't ever tried or perhaps you quit the game some time ago, I'd like to invite all of you to join our pre-basho game for the Ciber Hatsu Basho. Basics are very simple: create your own heya, recruit 3 cyber-rikishi as maximum and choose 10 real Makuuchi sekitori for each of them. On a daily basis there are overall rankings, division and sansho standings. You can check rules, banzuke and fill in the entry form on: http://www.cibersumo.com/en See you on the dohyo... and enjoy the basho !!!

Jake, First you need the program to download the "torrent" files. As I said, there are some apps with good quality. I've been using BitComet for a long time, and I recommend it. To get BitComet, go to: http://www.bitcomet.com and download it to your computer. But you can also use bittorrent.com or azureus.com... take what you want. OK, once you've installed the software then you'll be able to get any torrent from the trackers pages I said in my earlier post. Customize the programme, adequate your bandwidth and be patient until it's downloaded. The more people having the file, the faster it will be downloaded Ah, please, once you've got the file, do not delete it from your computer inmediately. If you share it with others, they will also share theirs with you. I hope it may help you.

Besides Youtube and Info-sumo.net, you can download to your computer torrent files for this basho. I've just downloaded the English Digest and the full Japanese NHK broadcasting for Day 1, and I'm now watching... for free, of course. The problem? one day delay... and every file "weighs" 300 Mb/1 Gb (Digest/full coverage). Stolen videos? :-D . You will only need a torrent application to download the files, such as BitComet, Azureus... and be patient for 30 minutes to get the video. To search sumo torrents, you can try for instance: I hope it can help anyone.

Hi all, I'm sorry to say that I've just informed that Kyushu Basho will be the LAST tournament we will broadcast on Eurosport. It seems that the Kyokai is asking too much money, trying to break Eurosport's exclusivity in Europe and this seems to be the end. Next week Eurosport will broadcast again the Paris Bercy Tournament from 1995, that you could see recently on Eurosport 2. And it will be the last time for sumo. I hope the Kyokai reconsider their position. :-S

Finally, due to Snooker and Handball coverage, on Sunday we only could broadcast the first programme about Sumo (days 1-3). There have been more changes for the following days, so the final schedule looks like this: Monday 22nd: 19.15 - 20.15 (days 4-6) Monday 22nd: 20.15 - 21.15 (days 7-9) Tuesday 23rd: 20.00 - 21.00 (days 10-12) Tuesday 23rd: 00.00 - 01.00 (days 13-15) If new schedule is planned, I'll let you know.

Hi all, Due to a computer failure, I've lost all entries received before May 3rd. So those who registered before that date SHOULD FILL IN again the entry form (although they got the email confirmation). So far only the following heyas are registered: BERLIN FUJISO GERMANY GOLYNOHANA HEIKONOHANA HERUWEJIMA JARONOGAWA KANO KOTO NOJIGAWA OBABAGIYAMA PROFOSHIGAWA ROGORO VEGOSHIMA I apologise for the inconvenience and I'll try to run CiberSumo this time... if my laptop hold on a bit longer!
