As I've said somewhere else at Sumoforum (these threads confuse me as I bob about online...a bit like why I was never any good at knitting) these sumo emoticons are just splendid. I fully understand how the creator(s) gets immersed and obsessive (well, I do, and I think many artists do) developing an idea. The size is fine and the "no feet" is perfect! I am truly impressed....thank you for doing them. But I still can't figure out for sure who it is who does them?....my apologies for my being a bit thick and my inability to fathom things out beyond face to face conversation! Bolty. PS I have now corrected my cartoons link below which was malfunctioning for ages like my brain and no-one told me!

I'm not a regular visitor to Sumoforum but I'm glad I came along today and saw this thread and these great emoticons....splendid stuff! I particularly like the spotty one of Roho! Bolty.

When I first saw the image I thought it was for a ping pong bat Company. You know, another Chinese product invasion out of the mainland. But I was wrong. (Applauding...)

I've found reading these postings enlightning and educating me. I appreciate so much re-discovering this forum. My own "take" on this is Hagiwara / Kisenosato is a special one, and has the gumption (stickability or glue) to proceed with impact. I will have satellite transmission in November for the first time in 3 years inability to watch the bashos live...I shall savour (enjoy) Kisenosato's efforts. It's kind of good to know (via ShiroiKuma) that he has a sort of devil may care belief in himself....for the record I see him as always in command of Kotooshu in the future...let's see! Oh, attached here is my drawing of Kaio winning Yokozuna status...hmmmm!

I agree with a few writers here above. Facts, not subjective, mood like / dislike stuff. Chiyotaikai is a unique, non-boring performer. Adds flavour. We all watch for his tsupparis, whirlwhing attack, then, if necessary, the pull! I look forward to it. OK...subjective!...he has a warm pudgy rogue-ish face I appreciate...and he's dating (so I understand) so he's hitting the bottle a bit and disco-ing...par with Real Madrid soccer team, the best paid players in the World with charisma and image but can't win a sausage sometimes! Chiyo is ok. (Applauding...)

Well, he is going to develop his ways...he HAS to. Like Dejima, who used to be so predictable for his opponents but who has made a reasonable comeback, I think Chiyotaikai will modify his predictability. Either that, or he indeed will become a sort of Tokitaikai. Which is ok. Let's let him be what he will be and enjoy what happens.
