These are ilustrations to NART LEGENDS. NARTS was ancestor legend people for OSSETS.

NART LEGENDS is similar to English KING ARTUR LEGENDS, Finnish KALEVALA, Kirgiz MANAS, and so on.

Wow! I am amused.

I've found a few pages with English translations of Nart legends and I'll read through them as time allows. Thanks for sharing.

Also, thanks for all the Tuganov images. They really whet my appetite for the stories!

All I did was google around until I found something. Most results refer to books that you can buy but at this site there's something to read for free.

It's not a lot but whoever has time, money, and the inclination could buy the book.
