This is his first kyujo, ending a run of 758 consecutive bouts since his debut in 1993. :-( I haven't heard - anyone know why he withdrew on day 5? His yorikiri loss on Day 3 was more of a short-distance tsuridashi, and his left ankle turned outward in an awkward way when he hit firm ground again. Didn't limp too badly at first, but he had trouble stepping off the dohyo after the bowing.
