  1. I have a feeling that my report about Matsumoto is not the general information for a traveler. You only get to know my interest, and you cannot acquire useful information but may be disappointed. However, I can only write having thought that I was pleasant. Please read this and enjoy such an eccentric's feeling. The purposes of my travel are soaking in a hot spring, and eating a delicious food of the local specialty. In case I pass through the neighborhood of Matsumoto, I certainly drop in to "木曾屋 (Kiso-ya)" in Matsumoto. This store is a specialty store of 豆腐田楽[tofu dengaku] started in 1887. Tofu dengaku is the dish which applied sweet Miso(bean paste) to the tofu which stabbed the bamboo skewer and was roasted over it. Tofu and Miso are also made of soybeans, and are highly appreciated as a health hood. This is the dish eaten more in Japanese various places from ancient times, and although it is not the thing of only Matsumoto, this Kiso-ya's is exceptional. The dish of a photograph made into five tofu dengaku in the boiled rice(pickled green perilla is mixed) etc. at the set is \850. If you visit the Kiso-ya, I will recommend you strongly for you to order this tofu dengaku table d'hote(豆腐田楽-定食). Besides this, a carp dish, an eel dish, and 馬さし(raw horsemeat) are offered as a menu of a local specialty. However, the store which specializes in them exists in others. Furthermore, there is a store which I want to recommend next to you in addition to these specialty stores. The "安曇野餃子[Azumino gyoza](Azumino Chinese meat dumpling)" in 穂高[Hotaka] about 15km away from Matsumoto the northwest is right. http://azuminogyouza.net/intro0.htm There are a 餃子(Chinese meat dumpling) burned and eaten, or put into the pan like Chanko in this store. It is the feature that this Gyoza has very little use of cooking oil unlike a common Gyoza. It is the Gyoza which adhered to all the foods and water that are used and was made. For example, the sea tangle from Rishiri Hokkaido used for the broth of Chanko does not adhere to the special product of an area, but out of Japan, collects good foods and is cooked. It is one of the main special features of a Japanese meal to use the broth by the dried marine products for the foundations of the taste. The soup with which use of dried fish, such as an oceanic bonito, can taste the broth of sea tangle this much clearly under a situation general now is very rare. If you visit this store, and even if that day is a very hot day, I will recommend you to eat Chanko-Gyoza at lea. Although this store is located in a little distant residential section from a tourist resort, it is no vacancy from opening to closing every day. The store which I certainly visit after eating these is near this. A tea specialty store "きないね[Kinaine]" is located by car from Azumino-Gyoza in the place for 10 minutes. http://www.avis.ne.jp/~kinaine/ Although I live in Osaka and know some famous specialty stores with tea, the tea here far exceeds the prestige store in Osaka in how to make tea and the quality of tea leaves. Although I like coffee better than tea, this tea is an existence special for me. By this store, I got to know the greatness of the aroma of true tea. Although the location of this store and the atmosphere of inside of a shop can think that the taste and aroma of tea are made to amplify, it is a fact that the quality of tea itself is also very high. And although this is a personal opinion, I also like this storekeeper's peculiar atmosphere. Incidentally, the No.1 store about coffee which I consider is in Osaka in which I live. http://www.copocopo.com/ I think that coffee worth is the shortness of time after roasting until it is drunk. In the case of this store, that time does not exceed 5 hours in general. If you have a margin in time, even if it is for drinking only one cup of coffee, it is possible to order the coffee right after roasting. Moreover, the thing which roasted also at the time of the mail order of coffee beans just before sending it is used. It is devoted to the work to which only freshness will inspect coffee beans per one grain if not a good point but the storekeeper of this store have spare time, and a bad thing is removed. In the industry where efficiency like a coffee shop is given top priority, I can consider the management policy of this store like charitable work. I return the talk to Matsumoto. I said at the beginning that the purposes of my travel are soaking in a hot spring, and eating a delicious food of the local specialty. Onsen-ryokan(hot spring hotel) provides me with the both at once. And my favorite Onsen-Ryokan is 三水館[sansui-kan] in 鹿教湯温泉[Kakeyu-onsen] (Hot Spring located) which located 25km of east from Matsumoto. The all guestroom during a year is buried with reservation as this Ryokan can be checked in the vacant room situation of a homepage. http://www.sansuikan.net/home/index.shtml It is difficult to express the charm of this Ryokan by means of language. A hot spring, a dish, a master's simple personal character, silence, cleanliness, etc. are the things of which it complains to people's sensitivity altogether, and it is difficult for the charm of this Ryokan to mention something one concrete. If I dare say it, it will be that anything does not have an excessive thing there. Things other than the television of the room do not have the recreation facilities in a Ryokan, and a store does not exist in the range around a Ryokan. There are also many people who visit only for the purpose of the dinner of this Ryokan. It is obtained in a pan like Chanko. An about 40cmx20cm bucket is presented with a bowlful of green(8-10 kinds of wild grass) as 2 persons especially in spring which I visit frequently. It is put into a pan like Chanko, is cooked, and it eats intently. Five sorts of dishes of wild grass are served besides the Chanko, and a little dishes using river fish or beef are only served. Although I am not a vegetarian, I want to come to eat it extremely. The master of this Ryokan can be seen there being a slightly elevated hill in the reverse side of this Ryokan, and extracting the wild grass for a visitor there from a guestroom. Although a master makes a dinner the gathered thing, the cooking techinique is gifted. The quality and effect of an Onsen(hot spring) are made into a basis, and many media which tell an Onsen and a Onsen-ryokan exist in Japan. The quality and effect of an Onsen(hot spring) are made into a basis, and many media which tell an Onsen and a Onsen-ryokan exist in Japan. In Japanese every place, many Onsen-ryokan associations skillfully turned the pshchology to their advantage by making Onsen camouflage mere hot water by mixing of colored bath salts. Ironically, the fact was exposed by the media which induced it and it developed into the social problem as serious fraudulent practice. As a result, the both sides of media and an Onsen-ryokan association lost trust greatly. I think that I have not mistaken the idea which does not think the quality of hot water of Onsen as important so much in case it tells about an Onsen-ryokan . First of all, although the effect of an Onsen acts effective in soul, I believe that I hardly act on body. Moreover, in the same meaning as it, I am for healing (recovery of mental fatigue) of the heart rather than adhere to a meal for pursuit of the taste. Finally, I talk about sightseeing spot. Although I visited repeatedly Matsumoto which separated 400km from my house, in fact, I have not visited sightseeing spot, historic relics, and a theme park spontaneously. Only one exception is 宿場町(the old post town) with which around 30km - 70km of south directions in Matsumoto is dotted. It prospered in the 17th - the 18th century, the road and the railroad were fixed in the 19th century, and the posting station declined. The posting station which leaves most images of the Edo period is 妻籠宿[Tsumago-jyuku]. The scenery of old Japan here is worth seeing. http://www.janis.or.jp/users/chojiya/chojiya.htm Here is delicious food also. They are 五平餅 [Goheimochi] of a「湯屋」 "Yuya" and おやき [Oyaki] of「わちのや」"Wachinoya" . The thing which put the boiled rice hardened to the flat ellipse form which was pierced in the thin tree, and applied and roasted sweet みそ(味噌)[Miso](bean paste) with which the mashed walnut was mixed is Goheimochi. http://www.tsb.co.jp/bangumi/getplus1/toku...log/030909.html The round cake made from flour containing the cooked vegetables is Oyaki. http://www.dia.janis.or.jp/~tumago/omiyage/wachinoya.html Although both were not so new food, since this thing of two affairs was exceptional, I ordered by the mail order several times. It seems that I misunderstand this topic with the topic of Featured Rikishi, and I spoke the too long soliloquy. I had promised before to offer the information about Matsumoto for my friend who is visiting Matsumoto from the distant country. However, possibly I was too late. If I get my friend to read this post at least, value will arise also in this trivial soliloquy. (Showing respect...)
  2. I investigated the score in the case of the best model pick by a gamer. 2005.7 = 18.5 (6.5.6.6.6.5.4.5.7.5.6.6.5.5.5 wins of rikishi) 2005.5 = 17.5 (7.5.5.5.5.6.5.5.6.6.5.6.5.4.5) 2005.3 = 18.5 (5.6.6.5.6.5.5.6.5.6.6.5.6.5.5) 2005.1 = 18.0 (7.5.5.5.6.5.6.5.5.6.6.5.6.5.4) 2004.11= 18.5 (6.6.5.5.6.5.5.6.6.5.5.6.4.7.5) 2004.9 = 18.5 (7.5.6.5.5.6.5.5.6.5.5.5.6.6.5) 2004.7 = 17.5 (6.6.5.5.5.6.5.6.4.7.5.4.5.6.5) 2004.5 = 18.5 (7.6.4.5.5.6.6.5.4.6.6.5.5.6.6) How should we guess a possibility that this will be seen and a gamer will exceed 15 victories? :-D
  3. I also agree with Randomitsuki-san's solution completely. I had the good fortune to get the best results this time. If I separate from boast or modesty and I judge objective, I will think that 10-5 is more appropriate than 12-3 of the beginning. It seems that the Makushita-game in which the wonderfulness of the basic idea of a game and the opinion of many able members are very wonderful was made. Congratulations. In order to love Sumo more deeply, I had a new appreciation of it being necessary to observe Makushita this basho. We will continue getting many pleasure from now on also rather than the gamer who does not participate in this game. Even if this is a test, I am proud of the championship. Thank you very much. :-D
  4. 招き猫さん、お誕生日おめでとうございます。 I am praying for your championship in Totoro's Hoshitori. (Enjoying a beer...) (Eating...) (Shaking head...)
  5. In my last proposal, it was unnatural to obtain the same dividend, even if it bets 1 point and bets 5 point. Then, how makes the value which divided the odds of S-Toto by the number of the gamers who bet there basic odds? The value which multiplied by the number of points which the gamer bet on basic odds is the point which a gamer gets. It is not too avoided that the points which each gamer gets decrease in number, so that gamers' number increases. Although it is my hope to reflect in Banzuke the accumulation point which the gamer got in the past, this proposal brings about unfairness for a while to a behind participant. My proposal meets the deadline enough, also after a game is completed, but I'm very forgetful these days because of my age. (Chased by the fans...)
  6. I thought of one proposal about a rule. How about dividing the odds of Toto by the number of the points chosen in Lotto for it? When only one gamer chooses it, the same odds as the present are applied. When it is two or more gamers, the total point bet on the rikishi divides the odds of Toto. When Gamer-A bets on 2 points and Gamer-B bets 1 point on a rikishi, each point which can be gained is 2/3 and 1/3 of the odds of Toto. This proposal may be able to control a little easy bet which is not based on Victory-or-defeat anticipation of a Totikumi. Moreover, as for this, it is possible simultaneously for a gamer to increase both the pleasure which chooses Torikumi, and painfulness. And I imagine that this proposal becomes effective, so that the gamers who participate increase in number. However, there is a problem on which a gamer is discouraged. It is the case that only one gamer bets two or more points to one rikishi. The point which can be gained is the same even if it bets many points however there. The evil on which it is going to bet one point more extensively produces the gamer who dislikes this. Therefore, this proposal has an effective premium only under the rule restricted to five or less points on the day. I think that this problem does not need to be so much worried, either, since it will become rare that only one gamer monopolizes one Torikumi if there are many gamers. Although this proposal has left many room of examination still more, I am now deadlocked at imagining the practicality of an idea. (Whistling...) (I am not worthy...)
  7. I also think that time is still early to draw a conclusion. I think that I should respect the approval rating of S-Toto. The approval rating is a completely appropriate and realistic numerical value. I think that the point which Doitsuyama-san got balanced the risk. I think to the last that I want this game to be the game which guesses an approval rating. However, it is not pleasant as a game only by merely guessing it right. In order to cancel dullness, I think that the pleasure of asset management needed to be added. It must only avoid that this game turns into a game which only guesses victory or defeat. Supposing it prepares restriction, it may be necessary to restrict merely aiming at a fat dividend vaguely. Limiting the betting part which returns this on Zenjimoto-san's draft proposal for that purpose by one place or three places is considered as a measure. However, I have not felt sense of incongruity yet to the present state. Although I presented the bad sample and terminated [Pro], I will observe the result carefully from now on. For the moment, I still have regret in the proposal which continues increasing freely the pocket money obtained the whole bag. (Blushing...)
  8. Somehow, It seems that I do not fully read a rule about Lotto-PRO and was enjoying the game according to my rule. To be sure, I felt sense of incongruity about the present condition that only I am wasting the point. I will exhaust all points tomorrow, since it was too late to have noticed this. I did not play in a hurry, in order to rest early and I am taking my time watching Sumo. Therefore, please do not scold me. I am sorry that I was not able to offer good test data. (Clapping wildly...)
  9. [横綱を目指せ(ノーマル)] Yokozuna o mezase(normal)'s questions on Day3&4 are announced on the bulletin board. http://www.enjoy.ne.jp/~pero/cgi-bin/petit3/petit.cgi The sponsor announced adopting the question of the gamer who set a problem promptly. Although I understand that they are the measures for a sponsor being absent on those days, a little a sponsor's indifference is also felt simultaneously compare with your games. I apologize to you instead of a sponsor as a Japanese. (Clapping wildly...)
  10. Sd100E Yakunoshima Joker: Jd13E Towanoyama Yoroshiku! (Laughing...)
  11. I think that I cannot fully enjoy Sumo, without turning one's eyes to lower division. Although I watch only Torikumi of Makushita higher rank, the trend of whole lower division is always imposed on mind. Therefore, it is time very significant for me, and pleasant to choose pic of this game. About this simple clear rule, I can think that I do not need to test. For example, as the 1st "幕下ランド" connected with your name, even if it holds suddenly, I think that I am satisfactory at all. A difficult problem is deciding the standard of Sansho. Although it is the problem which cannot be judged that a game does not finish this, the rule is once determined and changing it at the time of the next basho will be admitted. [Yusho] This does not have complications, either and is the quantity of a best choice, i.e., a gamer's number of victories. Since a tie breaker corresponds to it, I think it desirable to make a gamer choose about three Makushita rikishis in advance regardless of classification(1-4 and 5-8 ...). It is because the reason determines three more prizes in addition to this, so I want to save anticipation of classification. [shukun-sho] Selection of Makushita-Yusho-rikishi. Tie-breaker 1: More selections of 7-0-rikishi. Tie breaker 2: More selections of 6-1-rikishi. When three or more gamers are in addition by this, "withhold Sansho become none of entries deserve(該当者無し)" is specified. The gamer who gained Yusho is not elected by the tie breaker, but naturally he himself's award is possible. [Kanto-sho] The total number of victories of selected rikishis. Tie-breaker : The number of selected rikishi's KK. the gamer who gained Yusho only when it exceeds other gamer with the highest point in except 10% or more, a duplication award is possible with the gamer. [Gino-sho] Acquisition of the classification which had few hit gamers. When three classification is compared and three or more gamers exists in addition, "該当者無し" is specified. Both gamers can be awarded when two gamers is at the time. The gamer who gained Yusho is not elected by the tie breaker, but naturally he himself's award is possible. Naturally a gamer's KK are conditions all the Sanshoes. You don't have to rush to determine all rules now. A rule is completed being readjusted. I am glad if this becomes your reference in that case. Moreover, you do not need to judge objectively about all the rules. I welcome also making your subjectivity reflect. I will continue participating in this game. As a result, I will love Sumo more deeply. (Clapping wildly...)
  12. >Sekitori-Lotto "Picking [X]" In the "five points per a day" system, the tactics which do not betting but are stored are not so realistic in the present. I do not think of the case for it to happen, other than a gamer's negligence or the safety lead in the final stage. Because, it is since the approval rating for TOTO certainly generates a dividend even if it obtains with them and is the case of Fusennshou or Asashouryuu. However, in the future, I think that this proposal is set to one of the choices for gamers as one of the tactics only by it becoming impossible for Asashouryuu to maintain the present condition. I do not regard as negative tactics not betting on the day which cannot have firm belief about victory or defeat. However, if it is necessary to prevent a gamer's negligence, it can respond by imposing a duty of the bet of at least one point on a day, or imposing a duty of selection of [x]. "Distribution of 15 points" Giving 15 points by package on the first day (made to store compulsorily first), probably, the proposal made to employ so that a gamer may like it does not need the argument on "Picking [X]." A rule is filled only with specifying the unit as the point (0,1,2..infinity) of an integral multiple in case betting. And probably, it will be unavoidable that the number of the parts of betting is restricted according to the convenience of vote form. Even if an industrious gamer like me continues betting one point every day and it mistakes all anticipation of matches, I can be enjoyed myself for 15 days. Therefore, making distribution into 15 points also has a meaning. "Bonus" Though every proposal is adopted, I consider that the bonus to Kinboshi is unnecessary. If it becomes impossible for Asashoryu which is a rare existence in the history of sumo to maintain the present power, or if other someone are promoted to Yokozuna, it may become the purpose of this game after it to gain Kinboshi. Since I am examining the rule on the principle of employing the precious approval rating data of TOTO efficiently, I want to avoid such a situation. "Conclusion" If the capability to only guess victory or defeat right, and a gamer's industry are asked, it is already completed in S-TOTO. I want to request some new trials from new games other than the classic game contained in Super Banzuke. I have the uneasiness whether to change from the standpoint to CHAIN GANG with few thrills about the proposal which gives one point on a day. Although the five-point system has improved it a little, I think that 15-point collective rationing system has still stronger originality. I have an impression like evolved ODD-SUMO to this proposal. Moreover, since bankruptcy of a gamer is also possible, I am pleased also with a little essence of Chain-Gang being contained. "Test" I also approve of preparing the period of a test about such a new trial. It is only businesslike with a test only this time, and if it holds, it is possible to simplify the rule. For example, the purpose could be achieved, even if it restricts the selection range to the second half of the match of Makuuchi and uses the dividend calculation by rough rounding off. "Bad habit" I have lengthened post like this again out of bad habits. I am aware of my the poverty of my command of English always making my post Denshamichi(one-way traffic). Please allow, if my opinion is the thing which disregarded the surrounding opinion this time also. I am wishing birth of the game which more sumo fans can enjoy longer. (I am not worthy...)
  13. Sekitori-Lotto The approval rating for a rikishi in Toto is a thing always interesting for me. Moreover, it is a thing [equal to record of the past by rikishis] valuable to us as gamer's records, simultaneously. I evaluate and welcome the new game using it. I think that a double count for Kinboshi is unnecessary. The value is already incorporated because the approval rating in Toto is used as odds. Moreover, worth of odds of Toto will fade further, when yokozuna other than Asa are born in the future. The limit of the daily amount of investment will be determined by what it considers is the theme of this game. Probably, the investment method should be various when putting emphasis on gamble nature. Or it is the contrary when thinking anticipation of Torikumi, and the guess of odds as important. In a Sumo game, although just the latter should be thought more as important, there is almost no game which thought the present gamble nature as important. Then, how bets five points per day freely in order to fill the both? It is also possible to bet all 5 point on one match, or to bet on both of rikish in one match, or to bet one point each on a maximum of five matches etc. Moreover, the selection which is not bet is also possible and it is also possible to bet a part. Although the point which it left is stored, it forbids beting it after the next day. Then, the point which remained on hand is compared on the last day. The greatest problem about this method is the complicatedness of a daily total. (Clapping wildly...)

    Yoban Games

I am sorry again in my late reply. I made sure that Yoban&Neo was not held for the time being. :'-(
  15. I already put the too long talk on this topic by the last post. However, telling about Dewanoumi-beya is equal to telling about the sumo world. Therefore, if I do not care about whether you like it or not, I can write further about it. I have left the talk about Dewa which must surely be written only one. Although possibly it might already be introduced in this forum in the past which I possibly do not know, I think that mine am worthy of introducing it into the topic of this Dewanoumi-beya again even if that is right. I told about Dewanoumi-beya from a viewpoint of succession last time. It is a talk still older than it, and I write about the greatest incident for the sumo world or Dewa this time. The Tenryu incident天竜事件 (Shunjyuuen incident春秋園事件) was the largest-scale and serious disturbance for the sumo world in the history of Sumo. In January, 1932, Tenryuu (Sekiwake, belongs to Dewanoumi-beya) appealed against reform of the sumo world mainly concerned with treatment of rikishi, while stated the objection to the despotism of Dewanoum-Oyakata which was a dictator within Kyokai. The submitted petition included the brilliant contents on which everybody can fully agree, even if it was judged using the present common sense. The contents were the following things which consist of ten items. 1, Establishment of the accounting system of Kyokai. Public presentation of the accounts income and outgo which were not indicated at all. 2, Revision of performance time. Performances is given at night in the case of Natsu-basho. 3, Popularization of the sumo wrestling by price reduction of an admission fee. Reduction of box seat(枡席), and the increase in a general seat. 4, Abolition of Sumo-jyaya(相撲茶屋). 5, Abolition of Toshiyori system(年寄制度) gradually. 6, Establishment of an old-age pension system. 7, The radical reform of a provincial tour (Jungyou)(地方巡業) system. 8, The increase in the income for stabilizing a life of a rikishi. 9, Reduction of excess employees. 10, Foundation of a rikishi association, and establishment of a mutual aid system. I explain the items of 2 and 4 in this additionally. About an item 2. It has been a subject for discussion in Kyoukai to delay a performance time zone recently also. Although performance in the time zone which many people are still working was made into the problem now, the problem of those days was not so. Those days, semi- Honbasho in a provincial tour was the outdoors, and since there were many places which a roof does not have, and it was the heat, it made it the problem for sufficient performance to have been impossible for. Their nutrient state is not necessarily enough, and I imagine and sympathize the severity of they of such a state showing Sumo under the blazing sun of summer. Tenryuu insisted, "rikishi has received treatment like a slave." We can realize by this item that there was nothing in the situation where they can maintain the pride as a rikishi. About an item 4. Many of Sumo-jyaya was managed by Oyakata's wife or common-law wife belonging to Dewa-Ichimon. By vested rights, they squeezed out of all the portions of the sumo world, and it did not return to rikishis and they did not distribute it. It proves it that their unjust moneymaking surfaced frequently in response to exposure by a taxation office. I can think that all 10 items are rights natural as a member of Kyokai (laborers), and are demands. Moreover, these are useful for Kyoukai or the sumo world in the long run, although these are inconvenient to a person with some vested rights To these, Kyokai only answered that Kyokai will make much more effort from now on, and avoided the clear reply. On the contrary, Kyoukai put pressure using the rightist organization which has conversely as deep connection as sumo world, and was increasing influence most under wartime like that time. Honbasho was held by the confrontation game of the east and the west in Makuuchidivision those days. And since match of among the same Ichimon was not made, one of the east and west was always occupied by the rikishi of Dewanoumi-Ichimon. In banzuke in January, 1932, all 12 rikishis in Makuuchi division located west were belong to Dewanoumi-beya. 30 Dewanoumi-Ichimon's rikishis including the 12 rikishis left Kyoukai which does not change a negative posture to their improvement demand, and newly established original Kyoukai. At that time, in order to show the strength of a protest, a decision, and union, they cut off the topknot(Mage) themselves with all the members crying. Then, since 17 rikishis of East-side(Higashi-gata) other than Dewa agreed, 47 rikishis in all Sekitori(total of 64) have disappeared at once, and Honbasho was postponed. Banzuke was remade, and Kyoukai held basho, one month after forced itself in order to maintain prestige. In banzuke in February, 1932, the capacity of 12 of Makuuchi was reduced, and was constituted by 40 rikishis who added 20 new Juryo rikishi and 8 new Makuuchi rikishi. The rikishis who remained received the big benefit by it. Although the one rikishi left the bad result by Juryo-10W(1win 7losses), he was promoted to Maegashira-E4. Also although the benefit was unnecessary to him who was the strongest rikishi in the history of Sumo , and was also the Savior of the sumo world, it was also Futabayama's Shin-Nyumaku by chance at this time. Thanks to Mr. Gans's "Grand SUMO tournament Records(大相撲星取表)" which you also know, everyone can check this unusual Banzuke-arrangement(番付編成). The result of juryo also appears in the Japanese version. Moreover, if October, 1931 is seen, it also turns out that the tournament of those days was an East-West game (displayed on the Japanese version as E-121pt,W-94pt.). http://gans01.hp.infoseek.co.jp/ The banzuke in January, 1932 was announced just before Tenryuu held the first rally at a Chinese restaurant "Shunjyuu-en春秋園." And the Banzuke had sufficient contents for making him push on to a rebellion. Those days, the person in charge of Banzuke arrangement was DewanoumiVI (former Komusubi Ryougoku) which is the elder fellow pupil of Tenryuu. He did not differ from many examples of the sumo world, either, but loved the direct pupil more than the junior pupil. As a result, he brought personal feelings to the Banzuke organization which should be fair. [Anyone can do check possible by Mr. Gans's 大相撲星取表 also about this.] In the last basho, after the same results, Komusubi jumped over Sekiwake and was promoted to Ozeki. Now, although such an act of unjustness is not allowed, in that time, discretion of Dewanoumi-Oyakata gave priority to it over all. Since the petition of Tenryuu was rebounding to this, those who explain that his rebellion was a thing based on a personal grudge are also in it. To be sure, this banzuke was not unrelated. However, I admit that the injustice which is sufficient for him to arise exists there. Furthermore, I think that the despotism was just the root of all that lead to monopoly of wealth. On the other hand, Tenryuu and others who seceded from Kyoukai began the performance made into their ideal. However, there is also disturbance of headhunting of rikishi by Kyoukai etc. and their ideal failed in about five years. Although surely various sabotage by Kyoukai existed, the themselves side was not able to reconcile box-office profit and treatment of rikishis at last, either. Although the ideal attracted people very easily, it was still easier for reality to separate people from there. Kyoukai had the hiding fortune of about 220 million yen later pointed out from a taxation office. Seemingly, according to the trial calculation with which the Bank of Japan compared the consumer price index, in the present, it has the value of being about 6 times many as this. However, I think that there is a still bigger difference. When it compares the present completely contrary to that time for which goods were insufficient when it remains too much, I judge that a further several times as many difference as this arises. It also became clear that the extraordinary lot of money was divided equally only among some management. Then, since it also became clear that the extraordinary lot of money was divided equally only among some management, as for their crime, embezzlement was added to tax evasion. Even if it sees only about that, Tenryuu's petition was not only just as a rikishi, but sees socially, there is no room of doubt in it having been good behavior. However, just the fact makes Tenryuu's ideal suffer a setback simultaneously. It was only the public opinion which Kyoukai which has big advantage absolutely in financial ability and the political power based on it feared. It could not become the enemy of Kyoukai even if it was the State. That is because work of Kyoukai was none other than a national sport of Japan. They are existence of inviolability as long as they are so. However the Regional Taxation Bureaus and the purosecution might make a fuss, if only Kyoukai replaced the management, they were able to wait for it to let up. The result which Tenryuu got actually was only mass resignation of a director and an officer. When he determined to dissolve and left the sumo world, he entreated Kyoukai for the young rikishis who followed him to the last to be able to return to Kyoukai. Although I did not expect that he decided it of his will, he who finished curtain influence is singleness and went abroad to Manchuria満州 (China northeast part area) in which Japan was doing occupation government those days. Although it was action under the policy of militarism, he strove for the promotion of Sumo, without losing the passion to Sumo. On the occasion of a Manchuria provincial tour by Kyoukai in 1940, he threw away the past grudge and did his best for development of the Sumo which is the common purpose. He who returned to Japan after the war became a commentator of Sumo on the radio (The broadcast start of TV is 1953.), and re-appeared in the world. He was called as a witness to a summons to the Diet about the hara-kiri incident by Dewanoumi VII (former Yokozuna Tsunenohana) in 1957 which I spoke last time In the place, he got the opportunity to appeal against the reform bill of 25 years ago to public opinion widely this time. However, he has already been in the position which no profits also receive by this petition. So, although what his petition concludes that sounded Kyoukai is my selfish idea, reform of Kyoukai will begin to progress bordering on this time actually. Probably, Sumo was continued by privatizing persons with some vested rights if there was no petition of Tenryuu, although there was also an item which is not yet improved. And supposing it was realized, possibly object itself of the game which is our pleasure, and discussion will not exist in the present. (You are going off-topic...)
  16. This Heya exists as a core of a No.1 distinguished family Ichimon of Sumo world. However, in the present, as Musashigawa and Kasugano are symbolic, this Heya tends a little to decline. The time of ups and downs exists in every Ichimon. Although I do not think that Dewa-Ichimon is in the worst situation now, it is clear that it is not in the state corresponding to the status of Dewa. However, rise of the young generation needed is seen in Mihogaseki, Dewanoumi, or Sakaigawa. Therefore, I am not anxious about the future of Ichimon which contains these three Heyas at least. I was anxious about Dewanoumi-beya having an excessive hope for Futenou. It is because I thought that the time when he can demonstrate capability to the maximum extent already passed. He collided strongly low to the oponent and often showed the performance (easy Yorikiri) which moves forward as it is at the time whose he was in Makushita. Possibly it had bad influence on him that he was able to win too much easily in the case which a well-built student sumo wrestling graduate rikishi often has. Even when only merely completing Yorikiri, if it is not easy, it can ask for a device or efforts. Even if it is simple Kimarite, in order to result there, the procedure of making an opponent losing balance is required. And the pile of it grows up rikishi greatly. I cannot declare that all the causes that continued checking growth of Futenou for a long time originate in that. However, after he is promoted to Jyuryo till March this year, I want to attach a reason so to his not having almost impressed growth . Since I thought that he could never improve his bad habit, I was very much surprised at his performance in last basho. The point improved clearly is that his attack became quick. Although former he has held Mawashi, he did not immediately attack, but that gave the posture often advantageous to an opponent, and he often released Mawashi. Furthermore, his impressive performance was the scene which his body is made to bend backward, shows an opponent the back, and runs from place to place along with the circle of Dohyo. He showed the performance depending on such a quick motion and pliability which isn't suitable for his physique, without completely employing the merit of the physique efficiently. Like the last basho, the Torikuchi which moves forward as soon as he holds Mawashi is suitable for his physique. Did what kind of type of training make his sumo improve to until this much? Possibly, is this just manifestation of his potential ability? Anyway, if he obtains a good result by the attack of initiative also in the next basho, I have to accept things that the evaluation to him of me was too low. There is already no intention that I criticize for Futenou to be Heya-gashira (leader of rikishi in Heya). However, by rights, I do not forget rikishi which must be on the banzuke above him. Towanoyama achieved Shin-Nyumaku with Shimotori in March, 2002. However, since his knee was injured during the Keiko on the morning on the 1st (Shonichi), he was not able to stand on the Dohyo of Makuuchi for one day. The 1 basho ago in Jyuryo, Takamisakari(12wins) attained Yusho after Ketteisen with Shimotori. Towanoyama (11wins) won this two rikishis and his contents of sumo were conspicuous. Therefore, I expected like Towa-10wins(with Kantoushou), Shimo-8wins, and Takami-8wins about the results in the following basho. Kotomitsuki was absent(Kyujyo) from the Basho of Shin-Nyumaku for the same reason as Towanoyama in May,2000. I did not expect more than 8 wins even to him of the great fanfare debut which everyone made for great expectation. About the capability at the time of Shin-Nyumaku, I received the impression in which Towanoyama's was equal to Musoyama's and Miyabiyama's. He was able to correspond also to any of tsuki-oshi zumo and yotsu-zumo. Moreover, his height exceeded the present Iwakiyama 5cm, and weights exceeded 30kg. He said later that he disliked Keiko those days and that was the cause of an injury. Although he does not reach distantly in industry to Iwakiyama as his remark, I think that the part and the room of growth were large. I am sure that he was able to exceed present Iwakiyama's banzuke enough. Furthermore, to the regrettable thing, he covered the still more serious injury in March, 2004. It seems that he was endowed with industry at least although he has already been unable to regain all things from now on. He had already had a start of a number of times anyhow, and the result of the previous basho was 6 wins in Jyonidan-W90. His Shikona was named by Oyakata(former Sekiwake Washuuyama). If "就" is put on the character of the "鳥" of "鳥羽の山(Towanoyama)", it will become "鷲羽山(Washuuyama as Oyakata's Shikona)". The meaning of "就" can be associated with accomplishment. This means that he was expected very much by Oyakata. However, Shikona which removed accomplishment from Oyakata' Shikona may not necessarily be a glad thing, if a view is changed. Washuuyama (Dewanoumi X) was applied exactly to the formula for pleasing a spectator of beating the rikishi of the big physique from the small physique, during his active period. He performed sharp Tachiai and Hazu-Osh, or continued moving actively on the dohyo, and often confused the opponent. Although he did not have forcibleness, he did not use Henka at the Tachiai. Also in which Keiko and Honbasho, he was the mental tough rikishi who never reaches a compromise to himself, but does his best. And also in the present, that strong soul of his is used in order to lead Dewanoumi-beya which is distinguished family. Washuuyama inherited Dewanoumi-beya from former Yokozuna Sadanoyama(Dewanoumi IX) in 1996. The somewhat special career of Sadanoyama's active-service age was that he appeared on the movie. He co-starred with Sean Connery in "YOU ONLY LIVE TWISE" 007 series with the role of Yokozuna as his main occupation. Although many Japanese appeared, this work was disrepute in Japan. Therefore, it was not repeatedly broadcast by TV like "FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE" and "GOLD FINGER", and I also forgot this fact(Yokozuna's movie performance) long. Although it did not need to remember, since I remember this while reading the data of Sadanoyama, I added the meaningless talk. I return to the talk about Sadanoyama as rikishi. He was also the rikishi who is not blessed with the physique. He had his appendix taken out which was not bad, in order to increase weight. It seems that it was not so effective too although I did not have knowledge about the effect. Proper weights differ for every rikishi and the technique according to each rikishi's physique exists. Since weight was the level of 150kg also in Taiho which gave the impression that the physique was that time very large, I can think that there was no necessity that he who was promoted even to Yokozuna does to that for increases weight. Kyokudouzan (former Komusubi) which was my favorite rikishi had the physique and the constitution just like him. He showed Torikuchi various type according to an opponent using the gifted athletic ability. Supposing Sadanoyama uses the same means as Kyokudouzan, I will imagine that he was able to leave record results. However, he adhered to the orthodox approach so stubbornly that it was said that it was honest to a fault. I understand that this was a pride and confidence of rikishi who will supports Dewanoumi-beya on his own in the future. After 2 basho consecutive Yuushou, in the following basho in 1968, he suffered three losses at the beginning, announced the retirement suddenly, and surprised the world. Although everyone did not suspect that he could still play an active part fully in the future, the quick pure retirement was also the tradition of Dewanoumi-beya. In addition, although the custom is a fact, the word "tradition" often camouflages a hidden situation. Dewanoumi VIII (former Maegashira 1 Dewanohana) who is Sadanoyama's master married his daughter to him, and the procedure for transferring some of real estate of Heya to him was finished before the announcement of retirement. In order to oppose the influence in Heya which does not affirm succession between them, Oyakata needed to work quickly such. The opponent was Yokozuna-Chiyonoyama. November 1950 when 1 basho was held in ten days, the basho at the time of Chiyonoyama's Shin-Nyumaku, his results were ten wins and zero loss as complete victory. Since Ketteisen was not performed but priority was given to rikishi on the higher rank of Banzuke those days as for Yushou, his great record was obstructed by the old-fashioned rule. Since he continued winning in the next basho till the 3rd, the win streak since his Shin-Nyumaku is 13. I could not see this record broken. Dewanohana only with the track record as a simple and common rikishi reversed the position immediately to him with the track record as such showy record and the highest class after the death of Dewanoumi VII (former Yokozuna Tsunenohana) which favored Chiyonoyama exceptionally. Since it is impossible to realize it only of his will, I imagine that Dewanohana had a leading supporter (Tanimachi). However, naturally about such a situation, data for me to get a corroboration do not exist. It was an open fact to have wanted Dewanoumi VII who was their Oyakata to make Chiyonoyama a successor. Since Tsunenohana did not leave a will but he died suddenly in 1960, succession of Dewanoumi-Oyakata did not become as his intention. However, since the track record of Dewanohana's rikishi days was too scarce as the chief of Dewa, everyone of not only Chiyonoyama but the world thought that Dewanoumi VIII was provisional. Chiyonoyama who had the wish severed by the succession to Sadanoyama from Dewanoumi VIII offered independence from Dewaoumi-beya having Kitanofuji(still Ozeki those days) (commentator now) and others with him. However, within Dewanoumi-beya in those days, since the implicitness rule of accepting neither a sect (splinter group) nor independence existed, finally, they were excommunicated, moved to Takasago-Ichimon and opened Kokonoe-beya in 1967. As for such a selfishness, under the situation in those days, disposal of discontinuance of business, not to mention excommunication, or banishment may usually have been given. It was the efforts of the widow of Dewanoumi VII (former Yokozuna Tsunenohana) who was Chiyonoyama's understanding person which saved them from the situation and made the minimum future secure. When Chiyonoyama died suddenly in 1977, Kitanofuji inherited Heya. Kitanofuji achieved perfectly the duty as provisional Oyakata until it is inherited by Chiyonofuji(in 1992). It was Chiyonoyama's hope to make Chiyonofuji inherit it. Since the trouble about succession was experienced in the past, it was the succession play which could be made only by Kitanofuji who has understood the suffering well. I think that it was big loss for Dewa that it was not able to have Oyakata-Deshi relationship of an ideal like three of them in Heya. The Chiyonoyama (Kokonoe-Oyakata) excommunication incident was among the top five disturbance in the postwar history of Sumo. And Dewanoumi VII (former Yokozuna Tsunenohana) who is his master was also the ringleader who caused the another major disturbance among the top five. In 1957, he was Rijicho of Kyokai, Kyokai might be pursued about the state of the management policy(structure) of Sumo in Parliament. Although I have not seen the data in which those details were described, in such an example at that time, I do not have the room of doubt in what the matter of money accompanied by interests about performance was the point at issue. However, this common injustice is not an incident among the top five. Just after this, Tsunenoyama attempted suicide in the Rijichos room. He carried out the knife(the armor through of 24cm of length of a blade) from Sumo Museum in Kokugikan, and cut the abdomen(a crack with a length of 30cm which reaches the peritoneum) and the cervix(length of 15cm) using it, and opened the main cock of gas. He was soon found by the personnel who have noticed the smell of gas, and the fat layer of his thick abdomen and a lot of transfusion saved his life. He had left the will addressed to Kyokai, his wife and Chiyonoyama when committing suicide. Naturally there must have been description about succession in a will. However, since his purpose was not attained, this could not become a will. If the purpose was then attained, possibly his as desired succession was performed. Several months after, he remained in Kyokai as an adviser, although Rijicho job was dismissed. I think that he having got only dishonor from this incident, and having lost influence and a voice is one of the causes the direction of next succession was made to be changed into. In the time when these disturbances took place, Dewanoumi-beya owned the majority of Oyakata-kabu. Although property value of Kabu was markedly low compared with the present condition in those days, the value as a license for continuing being in an association was not different from now. Dewanoumi-beya which the Kabu was accumulating can always decide various rules with the leadership. Then, Dewanoumi-beya continues being in the center of the sumo world, and has made the history of Sumo. Therefore, simultaneously with it, Dewa was not unrelated to all the incidents or disturbances. The good thing and the bad thing existed with Dewa. However, the present Japanese rikishi who salaried-worker-ized does not rebel against Heya or Kyoukai now like Chiyonoyama. The rule which does not accept the sect (splinter group) independence described previously was a convenient rule in order that Dewanoumi-beya might protect a voice, the say, and box-office vested rights. However, it sets in the present situation where Toshiyori-Kabu(Myouseki) itself has already flowed out out of Ichimon, the meaning which monopolizes Kabu is small. Nevertheless, the fact of not accepting it without any restriction shows the ambiguity in character of the sumo world. Although Kushima's (Tagonoura-Oyakata) track record was the level which cannot accept independence at all, independence may already have been promised positively to the rikishi who has a huge amateur track record like him at the time of his introduction. The example which continues to invite a promising student sumo graduate rikishi on condition of independence and opening within Dewanoumi-Ichimon is possible. However, when Dewa continues being scrupulous as usual to the university sumo which is dried up about both quantity and quality, about acquisition of a foreign-born rikishi, this is also neglected as usual and has a possibility of inviting the weakened Dewa itself. In order for Dewa to continue to exist as a leader of the sumo world, the time to consider what should be protected and reformed is just now. (Enjoying a beer...)

Please allow my late reply. Usually, although guidance of Yoban&Neo holding was made on his home page, there was no it this time. I have always sent the entry to him forcibly irrespective of the existence of guidance. I should have posted to his bulletin board about it. I am not considerate and I am sorry to you. Please feel free to post in there from next time. ;-) In that case, I will not allow his indifference, since I visit there every day. (Order, order! )
  21. I live in the place about 25km away from the scene of an accident. The accident has been reported by a newspaper and television all day since the accident. Therefore, I know all the announced facts. However, since I cannot translate it well quickly, please check the outline below. http://www.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/getart...n20050427a1.htm In a city part of Japan, the diagram of a train is very exact and overcrowded. Although a train arrives at a station every about 5 minutes at a station near by from my house, I do not usually have the experience which looked at that the train timetable produced the error of 1 minutes or more. In a route with an accident, it is an overcrowded train timetable beyond it. In order that the driver of a train might regain the time which was overdue with his mistake, having gathered speed recklessly was set to one of the causes of an accident. If the train arrives at a terminal point, the passenger will change to the following train using the time for about 2 minutes. This is also in a situation everyday to us. Therefore, the time of a train gives a driver a mental pressure very much. Furthermore, it became clear that the electric railroad company had given mental anguish and economical pain too much more nearly actually to a driver's mistake this time. The bottom had the passenger acquisition battle between the companies which compete. Since especially the company that caused the accident was using speed as the article for sale, it had an ultimate overcrowded train operation diagram. Though this company has not caused the accident this time, I imagine that I probably happened inevitably in the future. Although this accident was probably giving a lesson, the young valuable life was a too large sacrifice. Although my acquaintance did not necessarily encounter an accident, since the report is very detailed, I cannot bear a tear, it being too sad now and writing this. I think now that it had made a mistake in our lifestyle something. What value is in the convenience of such a sad sacrifice and exchange?
  22. Tamanoi-Oyakata(former Sekiwake Tochiazuma) [introduction] I have attachment special to this Heya. It is because I think that this Heya is continuing handing down the tradition of the Sumo in both skill and spirit to future generations. [Oyakata] Although I was looking at the Oyakata's active period, I cannot remember his performance(Torikuchi) clearly to a regrettable thing. I only know with the printing type that his most characteristic performance looks just like present Tochiazuma. Although I liked Tochiazuma's performance most now, I who was young those days was charmed by showier performance. I was not able to understand his performance which was simple but highly sophisticated technique. [Dashinage] The Oyakata(former Yokozuna Tochinishiki) of that time of Kasugano-Beya to which (former)Tochiazuma belonged was the rikishi called the expert of Dashinage. His Uwate-dashinage(pulling overarm throw) is made into the model also in the present. The procedure is as follows. First of all, [Hikitsuke] pull Uwate(own overarm) near and suppress an opponent's shoulder(of Sitate side) by a jaw. It is effective in losing an opponent's balance to suppresss a shoulder jyoint. Next, remove an opponent's underarm by twist of the waist simultaneously rotation movement of the leg quickly greatly. Finally, throw to pull down an opponent below by oblique posture against an opponent. It is necessary to perform these motions with sufficient timing momentarily. Furthermore, if it is performance while pulling the waist and retreating, it becomes imperfect and will give an opponent a chance conversely. I have seen the report which Tamanoi-Oyakata told the difficulty of imitating Tochinishiki's Dashinage. He said, "Since the same performance was impossible to me, the device which pushes an opponent's underarm with the shoulder was added, and I completed my Dashinage." The performance was handed down to Tochiazuma which is his son. However, Tochiazuma's fundamental attack is a performance by pushing with Ottsuke, and in order that the power may far exceed Oyakata, the frequency where he shows Dashinage is very low. Moreover, it is certain that the fundamental attack is more effective to AsaS, HakuH, and KotoO which are the rikishis formidable opponent for him. All Dashinages that I witness occasionally now are the skill for losing an opponent's balance. Although it is not the tactics which were never wrong, I want to also see the skill of tradition of art. [Tochiazuma] In spite of a repeated injury, I evaluate that the pressure ahead of Tochiazuma does not decline. The muscles of his leg make me know the severity of training, and bring me conviction and relief. Such, his linear motion does not change before he is injured, but I have a touch of uneasiness about his quick motion to side direction. It will be the influence of a knee of an injury too that his reaction to a motion of an opponent was slightly late compared with before. It can't be helped that an injury of the shoulder in which complete recovery is impossible. However, I wish one day early recovery of an injury of his knee. Although I had described only his non-fate, his injury did not necessarily bring him only misfortune. He spends time longer than whom on fundamental training. Especially after being injured, training for compensating it is performed to a limit. As a result, he was able to got out of the predicament. It not only grew up his body and mind both, but the process had good influence to younger pupils. I introduce the magazine coverage after he returns to Ozeki in July, 2004. The reporter asked "Although the young rikishis of Tamanoi-beya caught a sight of Tochiazuma and being strove for exercise, did this revival play have any influences also on them?" Oyakata answered. "If that sight of him is caught, everyone will surely feel something. The feeling which aids Tochiazuma was overflowing all over the Heya. Seeing Tochiazuma, they think that they studied the soul never given up also in a however painful situation. " The thing which should be handed down does not seem to be only skill. In the present age, it may be difficulty rather than handing down skill, but I feel the importance of handing down the spirit of Sumo first. In Tamanoi-beya, The rikishi leadar himself serve as a model for younger rikishis, and embody what Sumo way is all about. Thus, it is ideal to hand down the spirit naturally not by forcible language. This is the very blessing in disguise! [pupils] 芳東(Yoshiazuma) He was a captain(Taisho) when he attained the championship of team game in the Kumamoto(his hometown) National Sports Festival in 1999. His attack is negative, although he is gifted with a physique and his lower part of body is also tenacious. Therefore, he becomes the defensive in many cases. It is his impressive performance to bear it and to turn the tables. He experienced Tsukibito to Musashimaru for three years at the understaffed time in Musashigawa-Beya. 東桜山(Tououyama) He had declared himself 東桜花(Tououka) before. In fact, it was because Gyouji was mistaken in it and entered the "山" in the "花." And before the following Basho, he did not make demands for correction on Gyouji, but offered renaming in the way of the right shikona. He is the wrestler who gave the first loss to Asashoryu in the pro. He is the dark horse which has also won Kotooshu. 孝東(Takaazuma) The Brazil native, first dan in judo. He waited for a foreigner limit to be vacant for three years, and became a pupil on May 2004. He vented the frustration by winning Kitaouji and Baruto by Yorikiri with Morozashi in Maezumo. 東旺(Azumaou) Since, as for him, the second Japanese origin of the Brazil native had Japanese nationality but, he was not contained in foreigner limit. Two years or more ago, he suffered from gout and has been troubled with the symptom and vegetable diet since then. And he retired after the last basho at last. 渋谷(Shibuya) Oyakata's favorite pupil. He was coming for Keiko to Heya from a junior high school student's time(called ability No1). Although he has stagnated now in Sandanme, still young he (just become 18 years old) does not need to get impatient now. I have seen only Yoshiazuma's performance in them. He will be promoted to Jyuryo in the near future. Although it is my judgment based only on the data which I read, I will imagine that Takaazuma and Shibuya will exceed him in promotion. [mouthpiece] Most impressive Tochiazuma's fight is a bloodshed match against Asashoryu for me. He did not raise a jaw to the last to violent Tsuki and Hari by Asashoryu. The form which does not raise a jaw from beginning to end was the performance to which Oyakata adhered most in his active period. In that match, although only Tochiazuma who struck and bloodshed unilaterally was evaluated, I also evaluate Asashoryu highly about this case. In order to make a strong rikishi take out all the capability, an opponent with the high capability to reach him to limit is required. Worth of the match was not only such performance. Asashoryu apologized for the impoliteness on the Dohyo to him after that match. Even If the match aside, I felt that he has respect for Tochiazuma by his attitude and words, but I was then sure of it. Tochiazuma is the sole rikishi who defeat Asashoryu and make him humble. In order to make humble Asashoryu who believes in strength, it is required for him to show the strength which is sufficient for accepting. Asashoryu continues disregarding various educational instruction because it is made only by means of language. I do not need to apply it to the measure of Asashoryu and I can understand that their[the Yokozuna Promotion Council] words do not sound his heart. Become silent also to Asashoryu like the young pupils of a Tamanoi-beya, and merely show Tochiazuma. Since I also have respect for Tochiazuma, did I evaluate possibly him too much exaggeratedly? This may be beside the point, but Tochiazuma is putting in mouthpiece on the Dohyo by recommendation of Okamisan(his mother) since then. Furthermore, this may be beside the point, but I am putting in mouthpiece on the bed in order to prevent teeth grinding and loudly snores by recommendation of Okamisan(my wife). :-)
  23. Tagonoura-Oyakata(former Maegashira1 Kushimaumi) He went into the sumo world with the highest ever amateur track record. And he became the highest ever rikishi also about betraying expectation. Many people in a sumo fan did not consider and suspect that he can oppose a large-sized foreigner wrestler like Konishiki in the future. He was already an amateur champion at the time of a high school student. Since he attracted expectation and attention from that time, special programs about him, such as his everyday life or Keiko situation of sumo with his father, were telecast repeatedly. I who watched the program have memorized that he was continuing the Keiko highest in the highest environment for sumo. Not only me but the person who made that program and many people who looked at it aiso were sure of his becoming a Yokozuna in the future. From the first, wasn't the rail to a success for him laid? In his school days, just before he went up to a Dohyo, it might always be carrying out. It is making his cheek become blackish a little in the present. He always struck his cheek with all his strength about 10 times, and had shouted in the shrill big voice across which it echoes and goes all over the hall as finish, "Eryaaaa." Probably the person who heard it also by once does not forget the shout. I imagine that his soul which needed so intense performance just before fighting was by no means tough. In order that Takamisakari who is equivalent to his younger generation in Nihon University might loosen stiffness of the body by strain, the cheek was always struck similarly. When said more correctly, since Takamisakari was so hard that it cannot strike well by himself, he had got Kotomitsuki to strike with all his strength. Although I do not understand the difference in the soul of Kushima and Takamisakari, I feel the same weakness about two soul. I brought up this talk because I thought that one of the causes whose wheels of Kushima did not suit to the width of the laid rail exactly is this. Naturally, the shout of the rikishi in the hall is forbidden in the Oozumo. However, it is not the cause by which it made him inactivity. I think that the soul of him who was not able to make it stabilized without carrying out it is the cause. Another bigger cause is that he went on to the university. He should have ridden on a pro's rail at a high school graduate's time. In amateur, no target which he should finish already existed in him. At the time of the beginning which entered the university, since he was stronger than whom, even if that was Nihon University, he could not be a place for raising own capability. Rather, I imagined that he was indulged by the circumference and I consider that his university four years were a mere blank. Or the selection will not be based on his father's intention, it is based on his own will, or I do not know, but he has lived in comfort as a result at the most important time as a rikishi. Although it was an uphill a little ahead of him, the rail laid straightly existed. However, he chose the rail of the downward slope [ at a junction ] which can be easily progressed by him. It was the form of his best sumo to insert a right arm after the rush which employed the big physique efficiently, and to move forward, without stopping. However, once he stopped, the looseness of Waki(under his arm) suffered misfortune and he lapsed into the disadvantageous posture(Morozashi) frequently. Since the fault of his was known by all rikishis, the opponent had imagined shifting to Morozashi after that for the purpose of Hidari-yotsu first. Kushima's Kotenage in a disadvantageous posture was his most impressive sumo. However, since it was the throw only using [ unlike Kotenage which applied weight by Kaio ] a hand out of desperation, it was uncertain. Although he used Kotenage frequently, he did not inflict an injury on an opponent. On the contrary, the approach which made himself the unstable posture invited the injury to himself. And that brought the time of a retirement of him forward. A consolation in its misfortune did not cause the result to which he inflicts an injury on an oponent for a so much meaningless victory. I think that the present condition that he cannot get talented-people assistance from Nihon University shows that he was isolated in Nihon University although his results under enrollment in Nihon University were record. That clarifies further that he mistook selection at the junction. The state in which Tagonoura-Beya is inactive now is not based only on it. It is the biggest cause that Yoshimura(2002 entrance with Hagiwara or Katayama) expected by Heya and Ichimon died suddenly.
