Day 8 Soukokurai, at the halfway mark in the first basho after his 2.5 years' absense: "I was able to do sumou at last. I can appreciate the content (of my sumou). I focus on one day at a time." 蒼国来　２年半ぶりに復帰した場所を五分で折り返す。「やっと相撲が取れた。納得できる内容。一日一日に集中する」 Aminishiki, bringing Hakuhou to the edge but narrowly losing, crestfallenly: "It went according to my strategy. Thanks! Silly me, back three days ago I was recognizing kachiage correctly still. Yeah, I noticed the back-and-forth referencing between migi-sashi and hidari-sashi too, but even worse the entry for sashi is simply blank (and there are a few other entries referring to it). The Emperor’s cup hasn't been (coming to/) in the heya for a while. [...] That's how I initially thought it was meant as well, but is there any indication apart from the context that it is past and not present?

Day 6 Wakanosato, at 37 getting his 600th makuuchi win: "When mounting the dohyou it's a serious 1 to 1 battle. It's got nothing to do with whether veteran or shin-nyuumaku." 若の里　３７歳で幕内６００勝を達成。「土俵に上がれば１対１の真剣勝負。ベテランも新入幕も関係ない」 Aminishiki, taking down an oozeki, thus supporting his heya mate Harumafuji: "The Emporer's cup has not been coming to the heya for a while (?). With myself struggling, if the chance comes for the yokozuna..." 安美錦　大関を転がし、同部屋の日馬富士に援護射撃。「しばらく部屋に賜杯が来ていない。自分が暴れることで、横綱にチャンスが来れば」 Chiyotairyuu, on day 7 challenging Hakuhou in the last bout of the day: "If he can grab the mawashi it's game over. Even if he comes with henka or harizashi (slap and grab) or the like I'm going with kachi-age. Maybe if I can use henka and harizashi and the like a win is going to emerge. Day 5 Soukokurai, coming from behind win against Wakanosato and second win: "I gave it all I got. I don't think too much about (the number of wins), I only concentrate on one bout at a time." 蒼国来　若の里に逆転勝ちして２勝目。「精いっぱいだった。（星勘定は）あまり考えず、一番一番に集中するだけ」 Kyokutenhou, dominating Okinoumi: "Our height and weights are roughly the same. But here (ref. to himself) you only have a little attractiveness, while on the other side (ref. to Okinoumi) there's a handsome man." 旭天鵬　隠岐の海に完勝。「身長、体重がほぼ一緒。顔だけ若干、向こうの方が男前やけどな」 Shouhouzan, heartily pushing down Goueidou and getting his first win. Launching intense tsuppari at Goudeidou's face, with an angry look: "If I'm stared at like this (by his face), then I aim at it, right? (?)" 松鳳山　豪栄道を豪快に突き倒して初日。強烈な突っ張りを顔に見舞い「あれだけにらまれたら狙うよね」と怖い顔。 Hakuhou, on Kisenosato now at two losses: "For myself, it took three times to finally get the tsuna. Day 4 Wakanosato, 1500th appearance on the dohyou. I saw the しまった (I find it difficult to translate too), but I didn't know what to make of the 一瞬見る. Akinomaki's second quote does indeed seem to indicate that it's looking around for a moment instead of taking the initiative.

Day 3 Oosunaarashi, as shin-juuryou getting his first loss on day 3: "(Moreso than a loss in makushita) this is frustrating, so I will gambarize even more. There's nothing but winning." 大砂嵐　新十両３日目で初黒星。「（幕下での負けより）悔しいので、もっと頑張る。勝つしかない」 Chiyotairyuu, third consecutive win. Facing Kotoshougiku on day 4, assertively: "If I win that'd be big. I want to go do kachiage with all my strength." 千代大龍　３連勝。４日目の琴奨菊戦に向け「勝てたら大きい。思い切りかち上げていく」と威勢よく。 Tochiouzan, crushing Kisenosato who is on note for a tsunatori: "It's the same as usual here. I saw some of the alternative meanings when looking up the words, it's sometimes hard to put into words (especially since I'm not always sure about the nuances and rather be literal than interpreting wrong things into the words).

Day 2 Tamaasuka, being a makuuchi returnee himself and forcing out Soukokurai by yorikiri to get this first win this basho: "There was some difficulty to do it, but I could do my own sumou." 玉飛鳥　再入幕のご当所場所で注目の蒼国来を寄り切って初白星。「やりづらさはあったけど、自分の相撲が取れた」 Ikioi, from migi-sashi breaking (Kyokutenhou's balance) with a throw and overwhelming him, seemingly with satisfaction: "Sumou just as planned. More than about the result I can think about the content." 勢　右差しから投げで崩して圧倒。満足そうに「思った通りの相撲。結果より内容を考えてできている」。 Myougiryuu, without following/affected by yesterday's hansoku loss getting an easy victory: "My feeling is changing over (?) every day. I'm going with renewed feeling every day. My condition isn't bad. It's from here on..." 妙義龍　初日の反則負けを引きずらずに快勝。「（気持ちは）毎日切り替えてます。調子は悪くない。これからです」 Hakuhou, putting up a good fight against promising Takayasu, with some reflection: "The minute I got up, I got my inside right grip which gave me a sense of (false) security, but it was inefficient. Day 1 Shin-nyuumaku Tokushouryuu, defeating reinstated Soukokurai by oshidashi, unconcernedly: "Without worrying about the matters of my aite I just take it as the first day of this 15-day lasting duration (of the basho)." 徳勝龍　新入幕。土俵復帰の蒼国来を押し出し「相手どうこうは気にしないで１５日間の１日と思ってやった」と淡々。 Chiyotairyuu, getting a win through hansoku by Myougiryuu grabbing his mage, cheerfully: "This one win is big. Because I was being pulled and was losing completely." 千代大龍　まげをつかんだ妙義龍の反則で白星を拾い「この１勝は大きい。引かれて完璧に負けていたから」。威勢よく。 Goueidou, occupying a sekiwake spot for the 8th straight basho, and starting with a loss: "The tachiai was good, but at the end my body became straightened and was high. This gives me moments of reflection This is the point to regret and reconsider." 豪栄道　関脇在位は８場所連続。黒星発進に「立ち合いは良かったが、最後に体が伸びきって高かった。そこが反省点」。 Harumafuji, after an attack of exchanging harite combined also with harite bringing down his opponent Shouhouzan with a left uwatedashinage: "Maybe I aimed for this, it was going with the flow. If you're so keen to find more information about a specific 'no-so-over-hyped' rikishi, maybe you should put in some effort yourself. Your best bet is (1) visit their sumo reference profile, (2) switch to the Japanese version of it (click the 日本語 link at the top right), (3) copy the shikona (first few characters before the first space), (4) paste into a google search and set search mode to 'News', (5) pick some recent results and use an online translator on them. If you can make out something newsworthy in the gibberish the translator produces, maybe (or maybe not) someone will be kind enough to give an English summary of the article if you post the link. Either way, you shouldn't feel entitled to get everything you want presented to you on a silver plate (or presented to you at all). You should be grateful for the lot of work the people translating these articles put into this just out of kindness towards the community.

According to http://engawa.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/sumou/1369915073/282 (not necessarily a reliable source, but looks alright as it deviates completely from my guess, but Tochiouzan from Ke with 6-9 to M4w?). I didn't want to spam this board with a new topic, but I can't think of another way do to this right now (Asashosakari's PM inbox seems to be full). I'd like to retire from Sekitori Oracle, so you can take me off the banzuke. I'm very grateful for the ozeki promotion 2 basho ago which caught me completely by surprise (I only noticed it when Hironoumi congratulated me in a Sumo Game message). It motivated me to put a little more effort into my picks again, though apparently that had adverse effects. I had contemplated retiring every now and then in the past as I don't enjoy SO as much as the other games, and this seems to be a time as good as it can get for it. Thanks to Asashosakari, Golynohana and everyone involved for their work and banzuke making, I'll keep trying my best in the other games I play.

Big thanks and happy birthday, sir of golden balls! The quirky humour and all the little hidden details in your videos make them twice as entertaining to watch.
