Kaikitsune Makoto 210 Posted November 18, 2002 Kotonowaka has made a successful comeback after a bad knee injury in Nagoya. It is conspicuous though that he prefers throws even more than usual this basho! Kotonowaka has 6-3 record and ALL 6 wins include a nage; 5 uwatenage and 1 shitatenage: 1st day-
Tony 16 Posted November 18, 2002 Kotonowaka is the king of uwatenage! (Sigh...) He realizes a wonderful tournament and his bouts are spectacular. Bravo! Continue!
Chiyozakura 163 Posted November 18, 2002 If it wasn't for Musashigawa Beya Kotonowaka would lead the yusho race... What I find really fascinating about him is that he shows no sign of aging. He is the second oldest in Makuuchi with his 34 years, but he does not look any different than 5 years ago. As he will take over Sadogatake Beya he probably won't be active until he turns 40...
