Kintamayama 47,170 Posted February 5, 2004 (edited) Takanohana Oyakata did not show up for the very first day of keiko of his newly inherited Heya. Ex-Akinoshima and ex-Takamisugi oversaw today's keiko. Paper says there was a "lonely" atmosphere, as 10 rikishi headed by Juryo Gokenzan trained. In another unusual occurence, the wooden plaque outside the heya still says "Futagoyama- Beya". "Takanohana Oyakata was busy with other important affairs concerning the heya, such as scouting for new recruits. He will be missing tomorrow as well. As for the new plaque, it is being prepared as we speak", said Futagoyama Oyakata. Edited February 5, 2004 by Kintamayama
Hananotaka 8 Posted February 5, 2004 The latest issue of Ozumo magazine has a picture of Odake Oyakata (former Takatoriki) standing outside his new heya with his father-in-law Taiho. The heya has a side plaque that says "Odake beya", while the plaque over the entrance says "Taiho Dojo".
