Musashimaru in, Wakanosato needs 12

Musashimaru has announced that he is participating in Kyushu. "I'm not thinking of resting. I'm definitely in!!", he said today. "I'm being able to more or less use that left wrist again. There is some pain still and I'm not in peak form yet, but I have no choice but to be patient", he added. OTOH, his physician said that although he is in good enough shape to enter the dohyo, the strength in his left hand is considerably less than in his right, due to his prolonged absence from the dohyo. Opponents are making a mental note of this as we speak.

Wakanosato needs 12 wins to be promoted to Ozeki. He has never had a 12 win basho before. He is now in Sanyaku for the 12th straight time. Only three others have done that before him, and all eventually became Ozeki. Naruto Oyakata:" He always seems to have these unnecessary silly losses against lower ranked rikishi, while doing better against the higher ones. He should diversify his techniques. He's too straightforward. He goes all out, but he isn't wily and cunning. Sometimes, it's better to not go with all your power, and be sly. He should take every opponent seriously". Wakanosato, wryly: "I need more techniques, that's true. Till now I've gone head on and took it from there. I'd like to improve my mawashi grabbing techniques". During a basho, he does not drink alcohol and does not go out at night much. He is a serious kind of guy. He is determined to meet his opponents head on and not do henka at any time. He is determined not to become the dreaded "Eternal Ozeki Candidate". He wants to become Ozeki!!

I can think of worse things (Clapping wildly...) It'd be nice to be promoted, but it's also not bad to be in sanyaku... I wish him success, he's always been one of my favorites.
