Zentoryu 154 Posted October 13, 2003 Posted to the SML a couple of days ago by Joe Kuroda... The Aki Jyungyo tour arrived in Kanazawa-shi onOctober 11 and Musoyama was seen doing training matches against Wakanosato. He says he has not been able to train fully yet but figures it will take another week or so to get back into shape to resume serious training. Another on the injury list, Yokozuna Musashimaru is also starting to use his left wrist to take the mawashi and is managing around 10 training bouts during his daily morning workout against higher ranked rikishis including Tochinonada. "I told him to use his left wrist aggressively to go after his opponents," Musashigawa oyakata said. ------------ Makuuchi Kyokutenho of Oshima Beya has indicated his wish to acquire Japanese citizenship. Currently his representative is preparing the necessary documents to make a formal application. "I only know the sumo world. And I felt after retiring I'd really like to continue living in this world so I have asked and received the understanding from my shisho," Kyokutenho said on October 10. To remain with the Kyokai as an oyakata, a rikishi needs to possess a Japanese citizenship. Kyokutenho will be the first among Mongolian rikishis to acquire the citizenship. ===== .....Jonosuke
