Kintamayama 47,171 Posted August 28, 2003 (edited) Yesterday, as I promised you all, Takamisakari went to keiko at Takasago. Asashouryuu gave him a serious training session. Asa had 22 matches, 12 of them against RC (Robocop). He was throwing Sakari all over the place with nages, picking him up, and generally manhandling him. When butsugari keiko time came, Asa said "I'll do it!!" and "lent his chest" to RC for ten minutes, which is a pretty long time. ***Now, this part-I'm not sure of the translation, but I have it like this: "When he fell to the ground exhausted, Asa hit him with a bamboo stick to encourage him.." Hmm.. Somebody? This is so unbelievable, I'm probably wrong.. Then, he said to Sakari:" You are not a young rank and file rikishi anymore. You are a popular rikishi, so do it right!!!", he said. Takasago Oyakata: "You have to work much harder on the dohyo than you do in commercials!!", he shouted, implying that as a very high profile rikishi, he has to do good for Sumo. It was a pretty harsh student-teacher session indeed. Takamisakari: "I have no power in me left to go home", he said, as he mounted his bicycle to return to his heya. Asashouryuu, on the heels of his kyujo , forgot all about his injuries and went all out to train Sakari, and was getting himself back in shape in the process as well. "Well, if I didn't gve him a serious work out, it would be wrong, " said Asa, showing that he is dead serious about his Sumo.
