This a sad day for Sumo.... (Shaking head...) The Sumo world sure is getting some bad unwanted publicity!! (Eek...) I was never a fan of Roho and Hakurozan, but I really liked Wakanoho. I thought he may do well for the future. It's hard to believe that they would think that smoking weed is something that no one will find out about. You know the Heya must have reeked with all that smell. (I am not worthy...) All three will probably write a book now about the Sumo World and make money. (Band playing...) Whether is the REAL Kotooshu or an artificial one, I'm glad to see how well he is doing, so far, and how good he looks!

Sakaizawa was shoved off the dohyo duing the matta, but I didn't think he was hurt, then. It certainly was had enough shove, that he went off the dohyo, but he was on his feet. After the restart, when Sakaizawa was pushed back with his feet planted, the rest of his body laying on top of his own legs, with his knees bent as for as it could... and then some, I believe his breath was knocked out of him. Then once when he could breathe, he rolled and rolled until he got to the edge of the dohyo, where they put him in a wheel chair to take him out. It looked like he was in so much pain, even on the wheeel chair, that he couldn't even sit up straight. ;-) I hope he will be OK, but it sure didn't look like it, to me! (Shaking head...)

I think that's the MOST UNATTRACTIVE photo of Hakuho that I've ever seen!!! (Applauding...) That's a terrible look for him!! (Applauding...)

No, I meant click their record on the matchup page (same as before); I wasn't referring to the tournament records pages. Anyway, on the strength of the "picture = 1000 words" theory... :-) OMG!!! I have noticed when I go to the Nihon Sumo Kyokai's (goo site) this Basho, to look at the matches for the next day, the Rikishi's history stats are not there against the opponents they are scheduled to meet in the Dohyo. It used to be when you clicked on the Rikishi's name on the scheduled matches, it would tell you when they have met and who won that bout. It went back a year or so. It was very helpful in deciding my picks for some games that I play. Now when I click on the Rikishi's name, it just takes you to their picture and profile, which doesn't give the detail that I'm looking for... (Sign of approval...) Does anyone know why the Kyokai changed that format? I wrote to them but I got no answer. I was wondering (since everyone here knows so much (Showing respect...) ), if there was another place where I can get the same info that I'm looking for. Thank you in advance! (I am not worthy...)

OK...Maybe I'm dumber than what I think... (Oops!) When I go to the Record, it only shows how that specific rikishi is doing so far in this Basho ans who was their opponent and the kimarite. What I'm looking for is how they have done AGAINST the scheduled opponent in the past. Maybe I'm still going to the wrong place... Sorry if I've confused you, as well... (Sign of approval...)

For a hurt back, Roho made his point who is Senpai, huh? I wonder if Roho will lose tomorrow from heavy lifting... (Sign of approval...) I guess I'm surprised that he can do that since they always talk about his "Bad Back!" It did look cool, though anytime a rikishi does a tsuriage! (I am not worthy...)

Thank you for the reply, Asashosakari! I've tried several different ways and it always brings up the Rikishi profile when you click on their name... (Sign of approval...) But it is consistant, I must say. AND maybe they fixed it that way so it will be consistant for everyone... But I REALLY miss that! :'-( (Showing respect...) I just wish I could see a little history of what kind of record they have against the scheduled Rikishi they will be meeting the next day. It used to be so handy for me. Maybe they will fix it just for me, me, me... :-P (I am not worthy...)

Who knows.... Kokkai should have kept that "elvis thing" going for another win? I wasn't impressed by the new shaped sideburns, but I'm happy that he has started to have some mawashi techniques instead of flayling his arms around like a wild man!

I watched this unfold before my eyes and was astonished!! (In a state of confusion...) YIKES!!! (Shaking head...) That old gray haired guy was trying to pull that woman down from the dohyo by her leg and then Takamisakari was right there to help! (Shaking head...) I could hardly believe my eyes! I understand that the lady had a bunch of flyers that she was distributing to the people there to watch the matches... They never said what the flyer was about. I'm very curious to know what it said. The "dohyo climbing woman" looked a bit like she was drunk from too much sake or drugs or just incoherent... Just too strange of a "happening!" Goeido and Takekaze was looking to see what was going on, but managed to get their kokyu together and the best man won!! Yes, it will be interesting to find out what the kyokai will do about the Dohyo after she climbed on it.... (Order, order!) That binzuke smell will get ya every time!! (In a state of confusion...)

I say Aminishiki 13-2 (If he can get over the "Wakanosato Curse," he can pull through) and Goeido 12-3 (He's been looking mighty good! Maybe it's wishful thinking...)

I'm a fan of both Kaio and Kotooshu. The reasons are very different. I think Kaio will stay in Ozeki rank until his body gives out and he can no longer perform. I know he has been Kadobahn a gazllion times and have so far managed to hold the Ozeki status for this long. He also knows he still has lots of fans that look forward to seeing him in Jungyo or at the Basho. I feel as long as he can withstand the pain of his aching and broken body and Kyujo when he needs a rest, he will continue on... I have a feeling the time is approaching soon when he will be over taken by his aches/pains and will choose to intai. Kyushu?? Who knows?? As far as Kotooshu, he is a fine and good looking young man and as far as I'm concerned, he is doing a "good to mediocre" Ozeki job. (Applauding...) He's still very young and will grow as time goes on. He has never had a MK since he's made that rank, so I'm not sure what the fuss is all about. (Clapping wildly...) I don't think Kotooshu would even want the pressure and stress of being a Yokozuna, personally. I feel he is fine right where he's at and he's doing a good Kotooshu job. (Applauding...) Just my 2 yen worth... (Applauding...)
