Oh, kick me in my stamen! I just realized that with Kisenosato cruising in second place, there is faint chance of a yusho and a probable chance of jun-yusho. That almost guarantees we'll have the yokozuna talks again, unless Kotoshogiku somehow nips this in the bud early.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I only thought the zabuton were thrown if a yokozuna was beat by someone lower than ozeki? Or is that just the criteria for a kinboshi? Or were the zabuton defective and everyone realized it at the same time?

Endo might be hungrier, but Kyokutenho is a savvy veteran. I expected him to pull something from his bag of tricks.

Poor Ikioi. I think his sumo has looked better than his 1-8 record indicates. Both him and Okinoumi seem so close to taking that next step but just can't quite make it.

Says every sumo wrestler with an injury, ever, even if forced to go kyujo by the injury. But don't worry. He just needs to gambarize more. :)

I thought Endo was a bit surprised by how quickly Masunoyama came at him. For the first couple seconds after the charge, it looked like it was going to be all Masunoyama, but Endo recovered well to win that.
