With Harumafuji gone there aren't many too challenge him unfortunately, unless Kisenosato pulls off a miracle and gets back on track.

4 yusho, 2 zensho

72 wins

24 win streak

I am also of the opinion that he will end up withdrawing from or sitting out one basho

Will be greedy and leave nothing to others (Bandplaying...)

Will try one last time to beat the record of consecutive victories but will fail (Protesting...) ( lose against Ishiura (Whateverabove,itisfunny...))

Hakuho, you became old (Anotheryearolder...) but the others are so weak that you are getting richer year after year (Showingrespect...)

I don’t see any sensuous coming, he’s still dominant but not invincible anymore. Barring injury and without Harumafuji I think 4 yusho are likely. I think Goeidou could possibly win one, if his stars align, and I think one of the young’ns coming up could steal one.

I can't see who is going to challenge him - but surely he cannot win more than three?  I have him down for 76 total wins, and a winning streak of 29....

No real yusho competition for him with Harumafuji intai and Kisenosato, Kakuryu and Terunofuji seriously injured...

- 4 yusho, 1 zensho
- 78 wins, 12 losses
- winning streak: 30

Someone from the audience will hit him with a cushion (not Fukuoka). Afterwards, Hakuho is very angry and gives Satonofuji an extra shove...

Poll closed - up-date

42 people took part in this poll - making it the most popular for this year.

Over half of us think that Hakuho will win over half of the yushos (4, 5 or 6) - wow.  Is that because he is so good - or because he is lacking in serious challengers?

69 wins is the most popular choice for Hakuho's wins this year. (I'm sure that this popular number was selected purely on careful analysis.)  But there is a big spread in our predictions, so there is a high chance that at least one player will get it exactly correct.

Hakuho's winning streak was stopped at 6, as he lost on day 3 of the January 2018 basho.  The lowest prediction for a streak is 9 - but he has plenty of time to achieve that!  Again, there is a big spread between 9 and 31 wins in a streak, with just a few numbers not selected, which makes me think that again, there should be a good chance that at least one person will get this exactly correct.
