Hakuho's rank in January 2007?

I made this poll last year in December to predict what Hakuho's rank would be on the current (January 2006) banzuke. Only 17% correctly guessed Sekiwake, with most (69%) opting for Ozeki.

After 3 basho (mid-year), I repeated the poll. This time 42% correctly guessed that he would be a Sekiwake, but still more (47%) considered that he would be an Ozeki by now.

So....

What does the future have for Hakuho this year? Will he make it as high as Ozeki - or even Yokozuna - by the time of Januray 2007? Or will he remain a sanyaku regular - or even start to decline - or hang up his mawashi for good?

I voted Ozeki again and if he doesn't make it this year I will vote Ozeki next year aswell. :-P

He will get there eventually. (Gyoji...)

I think he should become Ozeki - but if I see another henka of him against Asashoryu I will withdraw my vote :-P

I think he will continue his imitation of Wakanosato during most of 2006. Still hope I am wrong. Komosubi or Sekiwake. (I am not worthy...)

i am convinced for this after his continuous statements about Kotooshu's success and how he will take revenge for this or that ...

I too continue to vote for Hakuho as ozeki. I believe that in essence, he is his own worst enemy. His complacency is something he should hold in check. At the end of the day, his intensity and dohyo smarts is what pushes him through always - barring any injuries. (A yokozuna...) :-(
