  1. Thank you for all the upgrades made to the Toto website. It’s a huge improvement! One request - would it be possible to update the rules page to reflect the current tiebreakers (the first yusho tiebreaker is now most Makuuchi bouts correctly predicted, not fewest X’s as the rules page claims).
  2. If Takayasu can hold on to Komusubi with just six wins, why not have four Sekiwake?
  3. I think UDH would really benefit from increased automation, similar to other games which run without daily manual intervention. @Tamanaogijima let me know if you would like some help setting this up.
  4. Why is WAKATAKE still on the banzuke given he declared intai?
  5. For the last couple decades, a 7-win record as a sekiwake guarantees a drop no farther than komusubi, but any performance worse than that has always resulted in a demotion to maegashira.
  6. After finally earning my first kachikoshi, of course I am in.
  7. I’ve been calling this guy Fujinowaka all tournament. It blew my mind yesterday when I realized it’s actually Fujinokawa.
  8. 6. Takerufuji - is the even day rule truly back now?
  9. I think this was just a mistake. If there were three sekiwake then S1w would go before the S2 on day 2, which is how they originally had it. I imagine when Daieisho dropped out they simply forgot to flip them.
  10. 1. Chiyoshoma 2. Ichiyamamoto
  11. Not only has every Komusubi with a 6-9 record been demoted to Maegashira, so has every 6-9 Sekiwake.
  12. I think the main difference is that in the 90’s there was a lot more emphasis placed on making sure those with makekoshi got big enough demotions. With that being said I took a look at the particular basho you linked and it was pretty anomalous - only 4 of the 17 maegashira ranked above Konishiki had kachikoshi, with two of the four being promoted to sanyaku.
