Well, you can. It's happened a few times, but there hadn't been a need in recent decades. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is the first time in history a komusubi has ended up ranked behind a fellow komusubi they'd had more wins than.

No confirmation email, but 56 here I think. I was my own worst enemy. Flipped the S and K ranks. Flipped Kagayaki and Sadanoumi against the math...thought it was probably dumb at the time and definitely would've taken it back after the deadline. Tried reversing Hokutofuji/Nishikigi/Ryuden against the math too, so they'd all get reasonable demotions...I knew I didn't want to put Takayasu or Onokatsu above them and couldn't see Hokutofuji staying in place. But then I got Takayasu and Onokatsu the wrong way around anyway for 0. I was pretty sure about Shirokuma's placement at least. GTB aside, I hate Nishikifuji holding rank.

If I were playing Meta-Metasumo, I'd back Jakusotsu at the moment.

Only would've needed 5 points today in Tippspiel to finish tied 3rd with Norizo, but I managed a whopping 0 points to play myself out of the top 10. I still suck at that game.

I figured I was in trouble when I thought I picked really well day 1 in Toto and found out I barely survived the cut. When you're actually going well, you're usually higher on the list than you expected. When I then lost the next 3 days and continued losing every other daily game, I was panicking, thinking I was legit gonna go like 1-14 everywhere. Considering that, I'm pretty happy with whatever I can salvage from this basho.

This is just something I can pat myself on the back for after bungling my most/least active picks every basho. Also, I should hope Gusoyama's prediction game gets Super Banzuke status someday.

@Randomitsuki To be clearer, I finished 4th in Odd and was due 8 championship points. Instead, I was given 6. It's not that anybody was put ahead of me; both 4th and 5th place were awarded the 5th place points.

Yeah, I was disappointed with how that bout panned out, but oh well. The day was a bit of a mixed bag for me, but I'm happy with Teru and Takakeisho's results. Hopefully they keep up the good work so I can win Oracle and UDH again.

Sorry, that was meant to be the version without complaints. I originally had some whining to do about Roto and Sumo Game too, but I held back. I'm certainly quite happy overall!

I wouldn't say Terunofuji ending up at M1e was unsurprising. He calculated to M6w and was placed in front of an 8-7 M2e(!) and 3 others he belonged behind. Tokushoryu wasn't treated as nicely, considering he had an extra win and still didn't get ahead of an 8-7 M4e. But he did get ahead of an 11-4 M9w, despite calculating 2 ranks behind him. Whether this Yusho bonus still applies and how strong it'll be is a question mark for me, but I'm not taking it for granted that they ignore it and go with the cleanest option.

I almost got the Odd Yusho back, but it came down to Kotonowaka vs Kirishima in the end and my Can't-Win-the-Last-Leg-of-a-Bet disease flared up again. Managed to hold on for 4 Yusho still (Oracle, UDH, TTT, Toto), despite tripping all over my own feet on the last day.

Not sure if I'm missing something, but I think you promoted 5 out of Juryo and only demoted 4 from Makuuchi. Where's Daiamami?

I thought for sure people would've passed me in Odd today. I had no intention of risking points yesterday but I thought some of the underdog odds looked juicy so I sent myself an e-mail of what my hypothetical picks would look like. I'd share my tips for tomorrow but I have to head off to the tailor to be fitted for my green mawashi and then I have to put up some new shelves for all these yusho trophies about to come rolling in.
