"Plane of the dohyo" and its (non-)existence?
Kaito replied to Hidenotora's topic in Ozumo Discussions
I think Kamito's lost that match by dead body rule as soon as he's gone airborne with momentum carrying him out of the ring, so plane of the dohyo doesn't factor in. I would have thought we were looking for the rarer case where a wrestler breaks the plane of the dohyo while still having one foot alive in the ring. -
Well, I survived day 1 in Chain Gang, so that's a rare treat.

One very minor mistake, 14) In the 11 Sekitori[Makunouchi and Juryo] who got at least 10 wins in the previous Basho, at least 2 Sekitori will get more number of wins than his wins in the previous Basho. There were 12 sekitori who got at least 10 wins last time.

Hello from MidnightAgent aka MidnightSumo

As a Karla watcher, you're no stranger to me. Welcome! -
Maybe I'm just being impatient, but I don't remember having to wait on the SalaryCap costs to be updated before. Did something break?

65. Looking at it now, I feel pretty dumb getting Hokutofuji/Kotonowaka backwards. I'm already aware of two other 65s and I lose the tiebreaker, so no hope of winning. -

Mine matches Reonito's aside from flipping Okinoumi/Sadanoumi and Chiyoshoma/Wakamotoharu, as seen in Asashosakari's. I did have Kagayaki over Kotokuzan in my first draft, and Kotonowaka/Hokutofuji marked as potentially flippable. I went in thinking this was the trickiest banzuke I've looked at with the conundrums involved at the top and bottom and how many potential solutions were possible for each, but once you solve them, it falls into place pretty predictably. No guarantees that the committee solves them the same way, but I wasn't second guessing myself at all once I had it settled. -
There must be some kind of bug in Quad. I seem to keep winning, no matter what I do. Also, yes, the confirmation e-mails for all games came many hours late yesterday and apparently today.
-
Regarding question 12, Ichinojo has gotten revenge on 4 opponents also (Shodai, Ura, Daieisho, Kiribayama), but he'd still need to beat Hokutofuji and Onosho on the last 2 days. I don't believe he'll have a match with Onosho, so this likely won't matter. I feel dumb for saying Yes to that question. It was actually really hard to accomplish. I thought I might get the special question right and have yusho chances, but Oho failed me yesterday. Also, isn't it weird that Oho and Wakamotoharu haven't faced each other yet?

It's not usually this extreme, but it's been similar for me for as long as I've been playing the game. If I could stick to always picking the unpopular sides, I'd probably do better. It's gotten to the point where you're spoiling the results and making me want to change Toto picks. And it's a shame because I really needed Oho to win today for the Norizo Cup special question.
-
I can usually guess which side will be more popular, no problem. It's just amazing how you can constantly pick matchups where the underdog wins.

I've got 2 more settlements for you. 11)At least one Makunouchi rikishi will win against the rikishi whom he is on at least 9 matches lossing streak in the past win-loss records[at the all divisions].対戦成績少なくとも9連敗中の相手に勝つ幕の内力士 YES, Tochinoshin defeats Myogiryu on day 7. 7)In the rikishi who are ranked Maegashira 10-13, there will be at least one day when at least 5 rikishi win, and at least 5 kinds of different Kimarite will be included in those wins.前頭10~13枚目の5力士以上が5種類以上の決まり手で勝つ日 YES, day 10. Myogiryu and Chiyomaru by Oshidashi, Ishiura by Shitatenage, Sadanoumi by Yoritaoshi, Akua by Kekaeshi, Terutsuyoshi by Hatakikomi.

GTB- Hatsu 2022- RESULTS!! 133 entries , 17 new players
Kaito replied to Kintamayama's topic in Sumo Games
I was already considering Netsuzakura for metasumo in what will be their first full year, and the free points here makes it more tempting, but they're among a pretty tough crowd so it'd be hard to actually pull the trigger. -

Grats Gurowake! I would've agreed with you that 60 wasn't gonna be enough. My 51 felt like an unmitigated disaster, so I'm relieved just to be where I usually am, right outside the top 10, earning 0 Championship points. -

I thought he meant Green Bay. Maybe I just know too many people from Green Bay.
-
I didn't really think I was in the chase either at 2-behind with a terrible tiebreaker, but I ended up missing the yusho by 1 win after losing on an almost unlosable day 14.
-
Yeah, I know I shouldn't be worried about the part that's not under my control. I'm really just upset with myself because I originally 360 windmill dunked on the Takanosho button, then came back and flipped it back and forth until I convinced myself I could pick Abi.
-
Gaaaah. If the leader in ISP had gotten day 14 wrong, I would've 110% taken Takanosho and yusho'd today. The last time I was in position to do the same thing, I had to take a pretty hopeless Tochinoshin vs Takanosho that tanked my finishing position.

Sumo Gaming World Championship: Tracking the Home Stretch
Kaito replied to Randomitsuki's topic in Sumo Games
Is this the right place to complain about my first world problems? I managed to lose a fair amount of points and the chance to yusho in TTT today after staring at a wall of extremely strong choices for 10 minutes and picking the only losing option, even though it was the one I was least confident in myself! After 4 days of not betting in Odd, I thought I was safe to try a bet. Surely nobody would be aiming to hit a big bet that falls just short of me, right? Nope, I lost 3 and now trail sukubidubidu by 1. Lost points in Toto too. Had to be crushing the day but finished poorly, including an indefensible Shodai pick that pushed me just below the line. Won ISP. Just unfortunate that the leader also did to stay 2 ahead. I've got the best tiebreaker but can only shoot for a big tied 2nd now. On the plus side, took control of Quad. Also, despite a poor day, I think I can still nick a good amount of SCS points if Takakeisho is denied a share of the jun-yusho and Ura wins a special prize. Some of the people above me currently don't even have Terunofuji. -
Shohozan lost to Abi (27) too. I believe he's 0-3 in the Special Q. Still too few opponents for me. Edit - It looks like you did notice that before. Probably just a mistake in the last post then.
