Spielberg doing a movie on sumo...ummm don't see that happening. "And I hope the movie doesn't deteriorate into the director's familiar terrain (a popular poster at the off-topic section springs to mind... )" If it turns into a sumo porn i would be scared.

It is really sad to look at the pictures of Masura breaking down, really emotional to look at. I am sure that Taka is sad, and is just trying to stay stong.

I have seen Akebonos matches also, and yeah not that good. I haven't seen any of Emanuel Yarbrough...sorry can't really help.

I have seen that pic before, and the kid is well built to be in sumo...he also looks way to serious, unlike the kid behind him...who isn't that small himself.

I think that it is a very intersting question, and would be curious to know also. I am a Christian(Cumberland Presbetarian) and I would have no problem doing any of the sumo rituals. To me it is part of the sport and it would be very disrespectful not to do the rituals. Just how I feel on the topic...not going to get into a big argument over religion on a forum...I save those for my friends...in person.

If you know of any place in Tennessee that practices I would love to know, but I really doubt that there are. I am not the sumo kind of geek as Jakusotsu talks about. I am a geek, but that is when it comes to games and movies and music. I do enjoy physical exercise, I may be 5 ft 6 in, and about 230, and look like a blob, but love to do sports and work on getting stronger.

I went and saw it opening night...me and my friends drove an hour to go see it(went to a better theater)...the movie was amazing...it really made up for episode I and II. I wish that Jar Jar would of gotten killed...but can't get everything that you want to happen. I haven't watched episode I in forever but there it talks about Anakin, if i am not mistaken i believe that he doesn't have a father that his mom just ended up being pregnant...because of the metacloriens(spelling)...that is why he is the "chosen one"...i think that is right if i am wrong...sorry. *SPOILER*(nothing big, but if you haven't seen it and don't want to know anything don't read...coulnd't get white text to work...sorry) I believe that at the end of the episode III they say erase both droids memory...not just C3PO.

I am not a fan of Asashouryuu, but I still hope that he can stay in the Basho, and not suffer any further injury...i never like to see anyone get injured, and like Araiguma_Rascal said " but I expect he would continue unless they have to carry him off in a strecher." he is a very strong wrestler...we will see how he does tonight...I hope that he is able to compete at his best...never like to see anyone lose because of an injury.

I can't stand how cocky he is...I have never liked him, and don't think that I ever will, and after reading this...makes me dislike him even more...does anyone else not like him? ^^^Picture above is great!!!^^^

It is odd..for me I am able to keep 80Kb/s when I am watching...but I will have like 6 or 7 other windows open, and those will lag like crazy... I will get some slowdown every now and then, but not to bad, I have been kicked a few times, but have been lucky to get back on pretty quick...and I have a cable modem...so pretty fast connection...don't have any advice to help you out, other than what Asashosakari said.

I am glad that he is doing good, because I always like to see Asashouryuu get beat...I really don't like Asashouryuu. Can't wait for the Basho to get started.

Wow that sounds really bad, if it hurts to sit...I don't think that he will sumo for awhile...I think that he needs a few of these (In a state of confusion...) and some time to rest.

I wish that Dejima wasn't looking so bad, I like him...hope that he is able to do well in the up coming Basho.
