Isn't hard for Mongolians to observe how best young wrestlers are packing theirs bags and leave Mongolia? Best wrestlers who don't care about national sport - they simply abandon own tradition and go to historical rivals, Japanese. They wear japanese clothes, hairstyle etc. Isn't this an insult for heirs of Hubilai Khaan ? :-P Interesting debates here... (Holiday feeling...) I might sound redundant but want to add my opinion. First, all foreigners in professional sumo had only financial interests when they joined it. It's the only reason why mongolian kids are going to Japan. Second, I do not think that best wrestlers left our national sport in order to join ozumo. Well, IMO under proper training Asa and Hakuho could become Lions (ozeki) in mongol boh; Asasekiryu, Ama, Tokitenku - Nachin (maegashira). There are thousands of young wrestlers competing in different levels and only ~30 in Japan. Third, Hubilai khan already insulted his heirs by wearing chinese clothes... (Applauding...)

Indeed, most successful mongolian boh wrestlers grew up in the countryside. Long time ago.... (Nodding yes...) i used to spend my school holidays in Western province of Mongolia. I remember that countryside kids of my age were much stronger than me and they gave me few chances to beat them, although I was a member of our school judo team (Nodding yes...) . I think that Hakuho himself is already from the "weak generation" of Mongolians

In urban areas of Mongolia everybody gives birth at home... (Applauding...) Of course, everybody can get an obstetrician's help in hospitals. But delivery at home is not very unusual for rural areas. Even there professional midwives or physicians are able to come and assist the mother.

(I am asking this as more than Asashoryu's father, Hakuho's father looked more like a wooden rooster in Las Vegas, totally remaining calm and stoic throughout the bouts while all around him, Mongolian contingent was going crazy) Hakuho's father was not happy that Asashoryu's father sent his son to Japan. He asked "Are you starving? (Censored) Why did you send the furure "yokozuna" of mongolian wrestling to Japan?" But later Hakuho's father decided that his son can also join sumo... (Blushing...) Maybe he regrets sometimes about the decision he made.

Yes, it isn't fair. Kyokutenho became Sekiwake much earlier than Hakuho. That's why I wrote "finally recieved"..., finally after he changed his citizenship...

Kyokutenho finally recieved a title of "Honoured sportsman of Mongolia" yesterday. Among sumo wrestlers Kyokushuzan, Asashoryu and Hakuho were awarded before.

I agree with masamune2005. Hakuho's friend and teacher, mongolian wrestler and commentor died recently. (Eating...) Maybe psychologically Hakuho is not able to fight well. I have no doubt that next year Hakuho will show much better sumo.

Poor Roho... He should stop trying to do his kachikoshi (or porridge-cauchy (Chased by the fans...) ) and follow Hakuho. By the way, does anyone know Hakuho's diagnose?
