Rikishi Status Haru 2015 - Day 5 withdraws (ns)
Kaiomitsuki replied to Fukurou's topic in Honbasho Talk
According to Sanspo, if he can't show up for Day 9 he'd be the first Makuuchi rikishi to collect consecutive fusenpai since Fujinoshin in the 1989 Aki basho. He is bask today on the Dohyo ;-) (NSK web site : Kotoyuki has returned from the 9th day of the March Tournament) -
Shin-Sekiwake 8-0 after day 8 : Futabayama 1936.05 (11-0 Zensho-yusho) Taiho 1960.09 (8-0 after day 8 .. first lost day 9... finale record 12-3) Chiyonofuji 1980.11 (8-0 after day 8... first lost day 9... finale record 11-4) Aminishiki 2007.09 (8-0 after day 8... first lost day 9... finale record 10-5) Kotooshu 2005.09 (12-0 after day 12... first lost day 13... finale record 13-2) Now that is pretty nice company Terunofuji is joining there! Terunofuji (7-1) will not be in this club ;) other Shin-Sekiwake with a 7-0 Wakanohana III (1993.05) ... like Terunofuji he lost on Nakabi

Hi Pandaazuma ;-) Okinoumi is out of the Basho.... with 0 win 5 players choose this Rikishi with the 6 pts slot.... 36 with the 5 pts slot... Okinoumi is on the 3 pts slot in my picks So It's seems that I will not really take advantage of my Kakuryu' pick ;-)
-
;-) Sneakly... nice word - I don't know It.... I need Babelfish to understand It (Laughing...) For a moment, I was afraid that you will write that all the Sumo Games players with a shikona who start with Kaio are cheaters (KaioU...) lol
-
I am the player who put Kakuryu at the 6 slot.... Like every day for each Basho, I try to wake up 2 or 3 hours before the deadline (I write "try" because It's 4 AM in France... so I suppose that you understand what I mean lol ) WIth one open eye, I read that Kakuryu was out for the 1st day of the Basho. I change my picks for Sumo Game... and for the Bench (Ichinijo for 4 pts) and TTT.... but because It was the start of the Basho, I ask myself If I should change something for the pre-Basho games .... so I change my choice for Fantasy (Hakuho alone... my first choice for the Yokozuna was Harumafuji + Kakuryu)... and for the UDH I spend 10 minutes to read the rules and try to understand If I can put Kakuryu on the 6 pts slot.... My english is not perfect but I read that "Your selections are supposed to be active on the first day (*) but not necessarily on any other day of the basho. (*) Q: Why "supposed to"? A: In March 2002, Towanoyama dropped out on the first day by fusen. It was decided that -- despite he wasn't active literally -- he was according to the rules of the game. He collected 15 losses for his choosers.".... and for me Kakuryu' case was the same that the Towanoyama's case in march 2002.... so let's go for Kakuryu for the 6 pts slot ;) As Randomitsuki write "Those who picked him did not take a risky gamble, but just made use of knowledge that many others didn't have.".... For me Kakuryu was active for the first day - He was on the Torikumi so he was active ;)

When I click "Register for Basho" or "Entry form" for the Salary Cap, the answer is "Sorry, the account you are logged with does not have the permissions required to access this page" ... I find why ! Go to "Edit profile" in your account and create a Shikona in "Your Shikona" for the Salary Cap Sumo

Portraits on the walls of the Kokugikan
Kaiomitsuki replied to Kaiomitsuki's topic in Ozumo Discussions
Well, from what I can see from the db, if the question is posed as "who has won the most tournaments in a 32 - basho time span", it appears as its a tie between Taiho, Chiyonofuji, Asashoryu and Hakuho at 21 each, followed by Kitanoumi / Takanohana with 17... Interestingly, though, if Hakuho wins this one, he'll go to 22 of the last 32... Of course i have no idea if that translates correctly to the actual portraits, its possible that circumstances are different with regard to them. Edit: Found this very interesting article and tried to adjust the numbers for the information therein... So, if prior to 1985 there were 36 instead of 32 portraits, and since they only get put up/down in pairs during the Tokyo basho, (and assuming I've not made a miscalculation somewhere) the numbers are adjusted as follows: Taiho -> 23 (at the old Kokugikan, with 36 portraits hanging) Hakuho -> 21 Asashoryu -> 21 Chiyonofuji -> 20 (adjusted for the fact that portraits go up and down in pairs) Kitanoumi -> 18 (also at the old Kokugikan) Takanohana -> 17 Thank you for the answers ;) I didn't know that before 1985 It was 36 Portraits (in the old Kokugikan)... So you are right Taiho is the master of the Portraits with 23 at the same time Asashoryu is second with 21 from september 2007 to january 2008) Chiyonofuji is third with 20 from january 1990 to september 1990 Hakuho is third too... and as you write If he wins this Basho, there will be 21 portraits in january 2015 ;) -
Portraits on the walls of the Kokugikan
Kaiomitsuki replied to Kaiomitsuki's topic in Ozumo Discussions
Thanks for your answer... My question was more mathematical than.... but sorry I'm stupid with the mathematics (Wearing a paperbag...) !!! You are right. No winner for the Haru 2011, so only the portrait of the winner of the Hatsu 2011 was presented before the Natsu 2011 (instead of the portrait of the winner of the Aki 2005). And of course no spot blanck in the wall lol Which wrestler was present most often on the walls of the Kokugikan at the same time ? -
Hello ;) What is the current number of portraits on the walls of Kokugikan ? 32 or 31 ? There were no winners in March 2011.

Promotion/Demotion and Yusho discussion Aki 2014
Kaiomitsuki replied to Asashosakari's topic in Honbasho Talk
Maybe I am not the only one but O2w Goeido is KK and Y2E Harumafuji is MK... Can we imagine that Harumafuji can be Y2W for the next Banzuke and Goeido O2E ? -
Bravo à toi Harumataikai

Promotion/Demotion and Yusho discussion Nagoya 2014
Kaiomitsuki replied to Asashosakari's topic in Honbasho Talk
Why Myogiryu and Takekaze for Sekiwake ? Is Goeido officially an Ozeki ? Try to create your GTB.... and you will see that there is too many MK rikishis between M10 and M17... so I think Sadanofuji will be in Makuuchi -
I find strange to have another opponent after the half-time of the semi-finales (Scratching chin...) ! Error is human.... If the matchups error was find before the start of Brazil-Germany, yes of course It was normal to change the matchups but after this match is over I find that It's strange... Like for the real Bench Sumo, I create my line-up after watching the squad from my opponent.... Domichi's line-up was only a 9 teams squad... and without Argentina in his squad I try to win some points with this team.... I'm sure that If I know before the start of Brazil-Germany that my opponent was Andonishiki I create my line-up another way... Imagine that a rikishi know that tomorrow he will fight a light rikishi and he will prepare his fight with an Oshidashi tactics.... but when he arrives on the Dohyo his opponent is Gagamaru... what else will he decides lol ;-) !!!? Ok I'm not the master of the game.....but it's my thought ;-) .... There is something not fair (Sigh...) Errare humanum est.... Yesterday I hope that Argentina will be well but now for tonight I should hope that Netherlands will win in ET (Laughing...) Thanks for the game Alexandre aka Kaiomitsuki
-
(Blowing up furiously...) No problem - maybe I'm wrong but I just need three wins by Bosnia, USA and South Korea... E-A-S-Y ;-)
-
Lionel Messi in injury time.... My (Censored...) (Bomb about to be blown...) (Foot in mouth...) :'-( (Poking the other guy...) Forgive me, but with Argentina as Kotononami's representative pick, you can imagine with how much tension I have been watching (in fact not watching but It doesn't matter) ... With a draw, Kotononami's chain was broken (Ranting...) I think I must (Censored...) this last minute goal ;-) Bravo Renaud ça va être dur de te battre ;-)
-
Thank you Iran and Nigeria ;-) I think that I am the Good luck of the Day lol
