Thanks Kintamayama, though due to being deeply techno-challenged, it did take several tries to succeed on the test forum...since "My Pictures" is not an option on the browse function, I had to drag the photo over to My Documents, and when it still wouldn't send, I had to re-size the photo down to under 300k, and then voila! eureka!, etc. Nice to be a happy camper again (Blinking...)...at least till the next "issue." Thanks again.

I also wondered how to send an image and like Shimodahito san, I am techno-challenged. After reading Manekineko's post I wondered how you put a photo online and then I figured it must have something to do with the "share-to-web" icon on my HP Photo Director so I got registered there and posted a photograph on the web. But...when I got onto the Test Forum and entered the photo's URL using the IMG button it gave an error message saying that you can't use an image extension on this board. The photo's URL was about as long as the autoban by the way...but anyway, since the URL is what it is...does this mean I have to find someplace else on the web to put a photo before I can send it with a post?? :-D

Not surprised to discover that (apparently) ESPN would not provide stateside coverage since it sounds like a more in depth look at sumo than what they do have from time to time...which is usually nothing more than 5-10 minutes of chatter about how much they guys weigh and how much they eat, etc. It kind of dovetails with something I've discovered since I joined the forum a week or so ago; and that is that when it comes to sumo fans outside of Japan, Americans like myself are definitely in the minority. I'm very impressed with the depth and scope of the commentary by English speaking fans from countries where English is not the primary language. I can see there is much to learn. Looking to get my hinny (hai-ni) kicked in my first games coming up next month!! (Laughing...)

Most of this discussion seems to point to Miyabiyama's promotion to Sekiwake as a given. It seems that Kyokutenho is much more deserving since he's never fallen below M3 in the last year while Miyabiyama has had three basho under that rank, including two at M7. No love for consistency?

Problem is...since the bloom fell off his rose after the 2001 Aki yusho, the 2002/2003 jun-yusho performances took place at much lower ranks than he will be this time. Unless he somehow "finds something" again, look for another disappointment. ;-) Shomishuu
