Ozeki??? Hummm.... I think he is able to reach Jryo division, and maybe Makuuchi, but I don't think he will be sanyaku, and in my opinion, he has nearly no chance to be Ozeki!!! (Shaking head...) Anyway, I havn't seen him fighting yet...

Italy - Wales : 8 - 38 (5-19) 6 Tries for Wales!!! (You are going off-topic...) Italy is a quite weak team, but scoring 6 tries is a real performance!!! Wales is able to win the tournament, that's sure!!! Scotland - Ireland : 13 - 40 (8-18) Great perforamnce for Ireland, who faced combative Scots!!! Notice 2 tries for Scotland, what is a good thing for them!!! 5 Tries for Ireland!!! Ireland dominated most of the time!!! They are more impressive than Wales, even if they look strong!!! If you compare Italy - Ireland (last week) and Italy - Wales, Wales was stronger! But today, I think both teams were at the same level!!! It is good to see a brillant Welsh team!!! England - France gogogogogogogogogogogogogo!!!!

Now, I recall this week-end matches!!! On saturday: Scotland - Ireland Even if they lost vs France, Scots looked quite strong... They have more chances vs Ireland as Brian O'driscoll, the Irish caotain, is injured and will not play!!! The bout takes place in Murrayfield. My Pronostic: Ireland may win : 60% of chances. Italy - Wales No doubt: Italy is not a land of rugby!!! Diego Dominguez is no longer playing, and they will certainly have difficulties versus the team who beat england last week. Wales looks very strong but Italia is able to score some tries. My pronostic: Wales will win: 75 % of chances On Sunday: England - France This should have been THE match of the day, but... Neither France nor England is fit: Englans was beaten in Wales whereas France played very bad against Scotland. So the result is very uncertain!!! No one can bet for the win of one of the teams!! What can do England without Wilkinson? What can do France without Galthi

I had heard on radio the story of "the Forces Required to Drag Sheep over Various Surfaces", and I had the idea to do the same for sumo!!! For a subject at high scool, we can do almost what we want!!! It only must be linked with physics: th forces, and biologics: energy needed etc. I would have called it "The forces Required to Drag a Sumo over Various surfaces": a/ sand b/ rocks c/ Ice etc. But I didn't have enough material for my experiences!!! And my friends prefered to study hearing!!! It's a shame, no?* Sorry for the (Whistling...) Physics speaking, the magnetic levitation is an interesting fact. I read they wanted to build a train following this kind of technique; it would be very fast as it doesn't touch the ground!!!

(Whistling...) (Depressed...) :'-( Unfortunately, according to reuters.uk, Brian O'driscoll, the greatest Irish nowadays, will not be able to play next week-end against Scotland in Murrayfield!!! ;-) He has an hamstring injury... What a shame!!! I hope he will play the other matches!!! Here is a link to the baaaad news!!! Notice that Gordon d'Arcy is not certain to play!!! (Hugging...)

Japan places - Kanazawa, Matsumoto, Sapporo
Elenrian replied to Kaikitsune Makoto's topic in Japan-Japanese Discussions
Oh!!! During my travel in Japan in 2003 (it was the only one), I visited partly Matsumoto and Kanazawa!!! (Hugging...) In Matsumoto I visited the old castle; I think it is one of the oldest in Japan (it didn't burn!!!). I visited the museum which is next to the castle, and bought green tea in another shop... In Kanazawa, my memory is a little fuzy!!! I remember visiting a house with 7 floors, and many hidden steps.... I visited the famous garden too. I was staying in a ryokan, near the station. I don't think that will help you!!! (Whistling...) -
smaaaaaaallll Oh!!! I see how it can be smaller and smaller!!! Size = -1, of course!!! Why didn't I think about it??? (Whistling...)
-
smaller small Normal big bigger the biggest

Oh!!! Another sumo-fan from New-Zeland!!! You are 4 now!!! Welcome, Kasugoonofan!!! To my mind, Kasuago is not an exceptionnal rikishi, but sometimes he fights very well!!! I like him... (but not too much!! (Hugging...) ) Concerning NZ-rugby, I love it: it is sooo efficient, playful (does it mean anything??), I love hearing the Haka!!! I tried to learn the words, but I only remember the first sentence (ka mate ka mate, ka ora ka ora, and-I-don't-remember!!!). I am a big fan of Jonah Lomu and I hope he will be able to go to the world cup in 2007 (as there will be certainly a match of the NZ team in my towm, I am veeeeery happy!!!)... Anyway, sometimes NZ is beaten by another team on october 31, 1999, in twickenham, for instance, and it is very amusing!!! [i prefer Samoa (Whistling...) ]

Fisrt day France - Scotland: 16 - 9 (0 - 6) France was tooooooo bad!!! But many players were injured!!! Lack of: - 3rd line: all injured (Magne / Betsen / Harinordoquy) - halfs: Ellisalde and Michalak!!! The coach made a mistake when he chosed Delaigue! Scotland played very well, I don't know why they said France would eat them!!! A player made a try, but unfortunately, he walked outside the area, and the referee did not accept it, what is normal, to my mind! At half time, I thought Scotland would win!!! They played better than French!!! Happily for them, we discovered a great winger: Ludovic Valbon!!! (he is really cute!!! But he got injured during th match... :(( ) Damien Traille (prononce "try") put a... try, but by chance!! Traille's try: Wales - England: 11 - 9 (8 - 3) :-) (Blowing horn...) (Singing drunk...) (Shaking head...) (Clapping wildly...) (Bouncing group) (Cheers...) HUm, hum... (Being hypocrite...) Actually, I didn't see the match!!! BUT, WALES WON, and that is essential!!! Don't say England lost, it's false! Wales won, Wales won, Wales won!!! The score doesn't sound attractive, but judging from the score (and from L'Equipe, too), nothing must have happened! England looks as weak as France!!! Next week, we shall see England France, I don't expect something interesting... Look at this strange animal: Italy - Ireland: 17 - 28 (6 - 8) I'll send more in a while, I am looking for comments!!! Ireland looks stronger than the other teams, but Italy is not very strong!!! An Irish Try:

Well, it started yesterday!!! I wanted to post that poll earlier but I didn't have much time!!! As a great rubgy supporter, I wanted to share my opinion with you!!!
-
And what about women??? You could do another banzuke, huh? But it is more difficult to judge, there is no "yokozuna" at this time...
-
I chose Takanohana!!! He is the best!!! He didn't resist or move, did he? A sumo should move his legs if you're trying to lift him!!! I did lift my mother who weights 55 kgs!!!
-
I read in another thread that he had to have about 33 wins in 3 bashos, as Sanyaku... If they want to respect the regles, he should be promoted next... July?!? Seriously, I bet for May!!!
-
I'd say for the ozekis: O1E=Chiyotaikai; O1W=Kaio O2=Tochiazuma
-
Yes, you are true, I counted them... "Only" 23 on that pic... ;-) Veeeeeery impressive!!! (Applauding...)
-
There is already a topic about this here...
-
Yes, They are always demoted! Sometimes, they are Sekiwake east, have 7/8, and go sekiwake west, but it is very rare... There is no guarantee below ozeki!!!
-
Hakurozan made 10/5!!! That's very good, but he is Juryo 7, and a lot of rikishi made a good score, and have more chances to be promoted. For example Futeno (9/6; juryo 1) has great chances to be promoted, and Toyozakura (10/5; juryo 2) or Kasuganishiki (10/5; juryo 4) too!!! If he makes the same performance for Haru Basho, he will be certainly promoted!!! For Roho, 7/8 is not too bad!!! He is a good rikishi, but I don't think he will be yokozuna... (but I may be wrong!!! I used to think Asashoryu would be a "middle" sanyaku...)
-
Why does he retire? Is he hurt, or what?
-
I love this pic!!! No comment. Asa's daughter is big, now!!! She is no longer a baby!!! She's cute, isn't she?
-
I agree with you, kotooshu bulgaria!!! But the photo is very bad, in my opinion!!! The colors are very bad!!! And his lips are really odd!!!
-
you can love him (Applauding...) or hate him (Applauding...) but you can't ignore him (Applauding...) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think this is a good summary!!! If I compare with all the sumo-fans I know, 50% love him, 50% hate him, and no one has "no opinion"!!!
-
A dai-yokozuna, what is it? A yokozuna with 10 yushos? But Asashoryu has only 9!!! (Applauding...) (Applauding...) Who are the others dai-yokozuna? Takanohana Taiho Chiyonofuji and??? (Applauding...)
