Maku Rikishis Favorite/Not Favorite Subjects
Elenrian replied to Jonosuke's topic in Ozumo Discussions
What's strange is that no one hates philosophy ( it is really ;-) ) I think that some rikishi don't like English, because it is not like Japanese : they have to learn how to write, and the grammar is totally different, the prononciation is very hard (all the more for a Japanese), etc. -
I read the goal scored by Liverpool was not very clear : some people said the ball did not cross the line... It is a bit unfair, but I don't like Chelsea because I don't like Didier Drogba (he was in Marseille last year, and Marseille is the last team after Lyon I will support!) and William Gallas. ( HE is in the French team, whereas MY favorite player should be in!!!) So it is very well! No longer Lyon :-) , no longer Gallas... Excellent!

;-) There is a thread in the French sumo forum, and most of the members thonk it is a swindle...

I got 44/47 for Asia, because I don't know where exactly Bahrein (and the former urss states) is... For Africa, 50/53... About 250 seconds each.

Some tiny countries are hard to localize! But I got 41/44! (and, for my second attempt, 44/44!!!)

Hummm... It sounds like a 1st April joke! (Being unsure...)

Kotooshu looks better than Kokkai... I think Kokkai is often very down when he fights, and that's why he loses... Kotooshu doesn't have this problem. He is bigger and thiner and has more techniques; so he has a great advantage while fighting. Besides, he is three years youger than Kokkai. It is not very important, but... Kokkai was the first european makuuchi, but he is not the best... And there is no denying that Osh is jolly prettier than Kokkai!!! (Cloverleaf...)

Yes I think you are right! He must be very supersticious!!! (Cloverleaf...) (Cloverleaf...)

Pants = no sumo! (Sign of disapproval) (Sign of disapproval) (Sign of disapproval) Pants = freestyle Sumo = style (Blushing...) What an odd idea! :-)

Sounds interesting!!! But Hakuho doesn't seem as fit as he was last january... (Shaking head...) He is able to beat Asashoryu, but not this time... B-) He is now underconfident beacause of all these loses...

Nothing severe! He was "Only" K.O. They took him to the hospital to check if he wasn't badly hurt! But it could have been a veeery bad wound!!! I thought they had killed him... Or that he would no longer play rugby... (it was the first time I saw a ruby player KO!!!) I hope no one will do this again!!! (he didn't have the ball while being hit) EDIT: according to the IRB rules, Dominici mustn't play for 21 days... I saw an article, Domi said he was fuzzy...If you want to see it, check this link (in French :( )

WAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow!!! Grand Slam for Wales!!!!!!!!!! (Punk rocker...) (Applauding...) (Sign of approval) (Nodding yes...) (Enjoying a beer...) (Applauding...) (Applauding...) (Applauding...) What a match!!! Wales - Ireland : 33 - 20 (16 - 6) Wales did a greaaaaaaaaaat match!!! They played veeeery well and clinched the grand slam, the triple crown, etc!!! At the beginning of the second half, wales was leading 29 - 6, and I thought Ireland would collapse. But they didn't. And scored two good tries. Congratulations to both teams : I enjoyed watching this wonderful bout. Special congratulations to Wales, and to all the Welsh members of this forum! (Applauding...) (Spooky TV program...) Two cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute boys : (I loooove them!!!) There was another match... Italia - France : 13 - 56 (10 - 24) Well... A good match, but I didn't see Italia... Seven tries from France, and a wonderful one for Italia (after a 80-meters-run!!!). The "New" French, David Marty, scored two tries... The best french player of this tournament in action!!!

Of course! It is very well for a "newbie"!!! Let's see how he will fight after that!!! ;-) Sounds fine!!!

So we have now : 1/ Wales + 62 points 2/ Ireland + 37 3/ France + 9 If Ireland wins by less than 13 points, we will have : Wales + 50 (or +51 etc) Ireland + 49 And it depends of the French's results. Ireland will not win if they win with less than 13 points.
-
- For England and Scotland, no matter : they can't win - To win, Ireland must win over Wales by over 13 points, AND France must win (or loses) over Italia by LESS than 41 points. - To win, Wales has to beat Ireland. - To win, France must win over Italia by at least 41 points, AND ireland must win over Wales by 13 points or more. To sum up, Wales has more chances to win. I don't think there is a real background difference... BTW, you can call the the scrumbers "Forwards", or "Pack".

It doesn't happen often because the grass is comfortable enough. But once (last november), there was some sand behind the last line, and a player sliped there and had his knees in blood! When a player is bleeding, he must leave the field to get healed. And congratulations to Wales, who beat Scotland 22 - 46 (3 - 38). Most of the work was done in the first half, and scotland played better in the second half (they scored 3 tries!!!).
-
I totally agree with you!!! I thought they'll lose 150-3 in the second half! But, when it's 22-0 at halftime, there are two solutions : - To become Asashoryu and win 22 - 35 - To become Takamisakari basho and lose 54 - 7 Most of the time, the team becomes Takamisakari, but when it becomes Asashoryu, it is veeeeery impressive and I still remember some transformations!!! Italia showed a lot of things last week end!!! France should worry a bit!
