For the first time in a while we have participants in Makushita with a lot of guys in Sandanme following. Moreover as I am late again with starting the topic, we have already almost halftime results. Sakumayama is still undefeated and if he can save this honor to the end of the basho he will be first to reach hall of fame since Tosayutaka 4 years ago. As four more guys in sandanme are already 3-0 we have chances to see few more in 3rd division next basho.

Day 8 update:

Half basho we have already 5 kk as Sakumayama, Kotokawazu, Kenho, Hakuyozan and Goshi started 4-0.

On the second end we can say good bye for Hasegawa as he is still winless in 2012.

We have another 8 guys with at least even score and only at 2-2 or better.

There are only 3 rikishi left who have no more room for error, unfortunately previously unbeaten Wakayama is among them.
