Guest Kaikitsune Posted June 22, 2002 I have updated my kimarite stats to meet the modern standards and current situation. Minor flukes have been corrected too. Still only makuuchi stats but a neverending "thing to do in the near future" ie putting juryo stats there too is still missing. http://www.uta.fi/~mm56085/Kaio.html Also Kaio in Haru basho section is new in case someone wants to refresh his/her memory. Some details of kimarite stats since 1990 in makuuchi: Takatoriki has the most losses by hatakikomi (82) but he has been active the whole 1990s. Asanowaka and especially Tosanoumi are more prone to hatakikomi losses in relation to number of bouts (defeats). Asanowaka has 76 since 1994 and Tosanoumi 68 since 1995. Kotonowaka will become the first rikishi crossing the milestone of 100 uwatenage wins in makuuchi. Currently his record stands at 97. The only rikishi who has won by uchigake in makuuchi since 1.1.2000 is Kaiho who has 3 great uchigake wins + he often goes for that and utlizises the turmoil induced by that sneaky trip attempt.
