Guest Kaikitsune Posted July 30, 2002 Does someone know the name of the famous hospital in Paris where Takanohana is treated ? I could try to approach the Yokozuna ! This could be the same doctor who treated Ronaldo one year ago ? There is a special very famous one in Paris called "La clinique des sports" which is dedicated to sportsmen ... Your fellow countryman gave this information on the ML: "Professor Jean-Pierre Baclet (the one who did the surgery on Takanohana's knee). Professor Jean-Pierre Bacret is involved in the french football federation, is in the medical staff for our national soccer team for people under 18 years old." New information on Takanohana's injury. Apparently his lingering problems have been at least partly a consequence of a nerve damage in his knee! http://www.yomiuri.co.jp/hochi/sports/jul/o20020729_30.htm That could explain the long 2.5 year full recovery estimate. It was said that Takanohana has recovered well so far (as in reference to that overall 2.5 years). I assume the 2.5 years is an estimate of new axon growth reaching "all" affected areas. Takanohana plans to reopen keiko on 1.
