Takanohana's september performance

I've been thinking since September that Takanohana's great record was due to some really easy opposition.

This was discussed at the time on a poll about the issue. Poll subforum seems to be in such a heavy use, this one isn't even to be seen in the first page any more. (Laughing...)

There was no definite, collective opinion to be found. Some believed there were something sinister goings-on while others (me included) were ready to explain Taka's excellent performance by his superior willpower and strength.

Unfortunately he couldn't participate in Kyushu Basho. I wonder if there was some special reason for delaying the kyujo announcement so late? Just to keep people buying as many tickets in advance as possible?  (Unhappy...)
