Guest Kaikitsune Posted June 30, 2002 Takanohana had 18 training bouts yesterday winning 16. He was thrown by sukuinage by Takanonami in one bout and lost another one too (don`t know against who). In addition to Takanonami, he also grappled with Akinoshima and Daizen. Still no clear statement concerning his participation in Nagoya basho but oyakata`s comments indicate it is very likely that he will take part. Also today Taka continued his training with Akinoshima and Takanonami. If I am correct, he even had 24 intensive bouts this time and felt very good. No winning ratio of today`s bouts available. Kaio`s situation is delicate. About 4-5 days ago he said he can`t use his arm much and had tapings on it when performing light training at their Nagoya training camp. Furthermore the muscle has lost mass and power. No news for some days now but without a doubt Kaio has an uphill facing him in Nagoya even if his arm heals sufficiently enough for him to be able to take part. Guest Kaikitsune Posted June 30, 2002 Out of those 24 bouts Taka won 22. Opponents were Akinoshima, Takanonami and Takatoriki. Nami and Triki both beat Taka once. Taka wrestled in versatile manner without favouring any postures or worrying about the knee. Samma p
