sorry if this has been covered before, but are the rules in operation for ozumo available anywhere ( in English ) ?

My apologies, It's been covered in the Asashoryu - Hakuho thread which i inexplicably missed ;-)

hak_asa.bmpI'm surprised nobody has commented on this up until now..... Doesn't this picture posted recently suggest that Hakuho should have been awarded the bout ? Asa's right arm goes way below the level of the dohyo long before any part of Hakuho touches down. This can be seen in the video too. Is there something I'm missing ? How much favour is generally given to more "offensive" rikishi on these occasions ?
