There must have been a TV or TV browser update at some point that made it impossible for me to watch that second hour. I'll start watching and then at some point the video quality starts decaying and then the stream lags, stops etc. I have to have the laptop ready to go to make sure I don't miss a bout.

I just finished watching this and I can confidently say, shame on JSA. Where's the integrity of an association that over 100 bouts explicitly chooses to not showcase one of the most entertaining and peculiar moves in existence - the henka? Jokes aside, I was actually surprised by the ending before realizing it had been under our eyes the whole time with the sponsorship thing. The extra prizes made me laugh, can't help but imagine them tucked in a plane seat to Japan :) I'm a bit sad Aonishiki didn't win anything, I enjoyed his bout today. As silly as this sounds, I now low key want to look for a last day seat in Paris... Edit: on an actually serious note, and I know part of this is cultural - I dislike this emphasis on Nishikigi drinking (the guy literally calls it his hobby on the official website) :/

Can I submit my alternative banzuke in a way that makes it obvious I am not trying to cheat or even compete with it? I am the laziest person on earth and I 'd just love the software to automatically calculate for me which one did better (comparing the 2 different submissions).

As scripted as it may be, I think I have seen a couple bouts where it looked like the guy who was supposed to lose didn't make his opponent's life easy. There were a couple occasions in which I thought "if this was a fixed bout in a real basho, I'd be fooled". For Tobizaru and overall, we should account for unintended outcomes (like slippiotoshi) so probably they're adjusting the script daily.

In an unexpected turn of events, I actually don't feel bad about most of my GTB choices, which is probably a sign I got it all wrong. My picks feel mostly /fair/, if you exclude all those underdemoted folks. I have 2 main versions I need to sleep on before going with The One.

I don't know if a Takayasu yusho is more romantic or insulting. Wouldn't complain about an Ao's yusho but he's not their golden boy. I am absolutely loving all the London coverage, but am getting allergic to Hiro's voice at this point :D When they show the empty dohyo from above, my partner lets out a nostalgic "Hello, Mr. Dohyo".

This "basho" will let me down if they don't let him henka once.

Maybe some rikishi are just more experienced than others at making it look real? We almost did need a monoii in the end...

The Kotoshoho - Wakamotoharu bout felt almost real. Edit 1: I am curious about the sponsor prizes, do you think, same sum than the Japanese ones? Edit 2: Ok the bouts are getting nicer imo, we knew what Aonishiki was gonna do, but still.

I'm seeing a new guy on Instagram's stories in the last couple of days. Tall, wears boxers under a dark mawashi, does suriashi along, etc. Is this like part of a tourist experience...?

No I meant the Sponichi (or other main relevant media) guesses :D I don't even want to know why you guys bother with juryo or below but I love reading all of that.

I am curious, does anyone put their predictions in GTB to see how they fare? (I assume that the top guy in the game is Hakkaku FWIW).
