Hi people I'm so happy to have found this site. I just recently got into sumo mostly because of Kaio (or Kaiou... those ARE the same persons right...?) and as you see, I'm pathetically clueless to everything in sumo. It took me half an hour just to find out what "heya" meant ahaha... Anways my story with Kaio is this... My grandpa lives in Taiwan so he watches sumo like crazy, so one day I was so bored in Canada and I said to myself "I'm gonna check out some sumo stuff just for no reason." The first site I went to has a list of billions of rikishis. I didn't know that rikishis meant wrestlers so I randomly clicked on a name. Kaio's pic popped up and suddenly I had this wierdest feeling as I let out a "wooooh" for absolutely no reason. (Punk rocker...) I started looking through all these other rikishis and none of them had the same impact on me for some reason. After a few days of understanding more about sumo on the net, I encountered my first site (I think it was Ken Collar) where it shows basho results. I randomly clicked on one and clicked on the last day and BOOM there was Kaio's name - apparently he has won that particular basho. At that moment I was like this is DESTINY - I'M MEAN'T TO BE HIS FAN! (Showing respect...) So anyways that's my very corny story of how it all started. Since I can't watch sumo on tv in Canada I slowly stopped paying attention to it.... until my recent trip back to Taiwan and when I was flipping through the channels NATSU BASHO 2005 was on! I freaked and kept watching and 3 fights later it was Kaio! I SAW HIM LIVE ON TV FOR THE FIRST TIME AAAAHHHHHH (he seems to have hurt his back in the end though)! (Holiday feeling...) The next day I was watching it with my grandpa so he can translate what is going on to me.... then I found the news that Kaio's injured and that he's not coming back for the rest of the basho... I almost cried (I was stupid...) So anways haha I'm so glad to have found this site because I can be updated about sumo stuff. I'm very new at this so I'm looking forward to learn from everyone. Well for a few years all I knew about sumo was "kaio" "musashimaru+akebono+takanohana" "ozeki+yokozuna" "yushos" and just very vague stuff. I only started really liking it after my first TV experience with Natsu 2005. I still don't know so much yet I don't even know where to start since I don't understand japanese... But hey thanks for commenting, I'm from Vancouver too! ^___^ (a bit off topic but o well aha)

I've never used a forum before, and plus I'm new to sumo so can someone give me some pointers... about anything? For example... how do you update pictures? and how do you quote from other people? (I know I'm absolutely pathetic) and the rikishi english names with their japanese ones, the who is who, is driving me insane (Sigh...) And also all the terminology.......
