Oh, no! (Censored) Better put the cloth back. My eyes! (Clapping wildly...) My boyfriend's pyjamas have exactly the same colours. (Clapping wildly...) Well... the design is terrible, but at least we had a good laugh today. (Clapping wildly...)

one more bandwagon jumper... (Whistling...) Sd70e Masuhikari (Because Masu-san has the same favourite rikishi as me: "My goal is to be like Iwakiyama-zeki who has a big body but with great speed and can display a good moving forward type of sumo." ) :-D

Really a great picture. (Sign of approval) Wow - Junichiro Koizumi (Prime Minister of Japan), Kotooshu (President of the European Harp Fanclub), Wolfgang Sch

If I recall, tsukedashi is "outside" the banzuke, meaning a MsTd rikishi is *not* in the released banzuke, but is placed, later, into his position. If I got that right, Shimoda-san doesn't actually have a real banzuke rank, but is treated like a Makushita 15? So he will have seven bouts against upper Makushita rikishi and will first appear on a banzuke in Nagoya basho - somewhere between mid-makushita and lower juryo... Cool. (Whistling...)
-
I guess that our Mongolian members are pleased even more. There are seven Mongolian rikishi in makuuchi - and all are either in sanyaku or in joi-jin ranks. (Whistling...) So... how exactly does this Makushita Tsukedashi thingie work...? Shimoda, the guy from this thread, is obviously not listed on the banzuke. Will he take part in the basho as some kind of a fictional Makushita 15 'south' now? (On the banzuke...)

I guess the final version was much better! Odoriou (Showing respect...) (Yusho winner...) (Whistling...) congratulations! Thanks. My final version wasn't much better - the quick banzuke I posted here was already good enough for a record of 12-3 (58 points). (On the banzuke...)

Why not? (Sigh...) I finished that version of a Natsu basho banzuke just a few minutes after the last bouts of Haru basho. It was based on the simple formula "[8-7 = 1 rank up], [9-6 = 3 ranks up], [10-5 = 5 ranks up] etc". Feel free to enter this in GTB - I'd really be interested in your result then. My guess is that it would give you a record of 6-9 or worse. (Blushing...) But if I score less points with my final version than you do with my first attempt, I'd know that I spent far too much time with hakkeyoi researches... (Sigh...)

May be. This is my list of the hottest Makuuchi candidates: 1. Baruto Juryu 11 O 15-0 2. Homasho Juryu 05 O 12-3 3. Tosanoumi Juryu 01 W 9-6 4. Katayama Juryu 02 O 9-6 5. Mokonami Juryu 03 W 9-6 6. Kyokunankai Juryu 06 W 10-5 7. Daimanazuru Juryu 02 W 8-7 As you can see I'd place Mokonami on position 5. So if 5 Juryu rikishi would be promoted, Mokonami would probably be one of them. :-) But I think Juryu 1 sounds more likely.

Just because some members are so curious... this was my very first attempt: ;-) Asashoryu Y O Tochiazuma O O1 Kotooshu O W1 Chiyotaikai O O2 Kaio O W2 Hakuho O W3 Kotomitsuki S O Miyabiyama S W Kyokutenho K O Ama K W Kisenosato M 01 O Kakizoe M 01 W Asasekiryu M 02 O Wakanosato M 02 W Kotoshogiku M 03 O Aminishiki M 03 W Tokitenku M 04 O Kyokushuzan M 04 W Takekaze M 05 O Tamanoshima M 05 W Kokkai M 06 O Roho M 06 W Futeno M 07 O Dejima M 07 W Kasugao M 08 O Hakurozan M 08 W Iwakiyama M 09 O Tochinonada M 09 W Tamakasuga M 10 O Tochinohana M 10 W Hokutoriki M 11 O Toyonoshima M 11 W Takamisakari M 12 O Yoshikaze M 12 W Homasho M 13 O Baruto M 13 W Tosanoumi M 14 O Katayama M 14 W Kitazakura M 15 O Buyuzan M 15 W Jumonji M 16 O Tokitsuumi M 16 W Meanwhile I already made some changes on this first version, but it should give you a rough impression of how next banzuke might look like. :-) ("O" means east, of course.)

Hmmm... I wonder what your favourite rikishi ( (Gyoji...) ? ) is trying to hide under his fur... (On the banzuke...)

Wow, they really should look for a new bow-twirler... (Applauding...)

The gay pride flag has six different colours, not seven. (Whistling...) I wonder if this lilac-purple-red frame was designed by one of the two winners, while the rainbow-kanji-thingie was done by the other guy? I like the lilac frame. It's the traditional kesho-mawashi colour for Ozeki and Yokozuna - and my favourite colour. (Nodding yes...)

Or "наилучшие пожелания с днем рождения"...

(Bye, bye...) Jd30w Morioka and Jd35w Seiro (joker)

What a poetic description. :-P And an impressive design. (Sigh...) The deadline for submissions has passed, so who else is willing to show his/her creation? ilovesumo, Kaiomitsuki? Or who else took part? I hope a SF member wins the prize. (Annoyed...)

These are no rockets - it's my contribution to the "I support breast equality" campaign! (Blushing...)

This is my draft:

I don't think it's our job to work on the 'B section'. I guess they already designed this writing themselves and we have to take care of the 'A section' only. (Annoyed...)

If you want to win the trip to Tokyo - good luck Petr. (In a state of confusion...)

I know, it's only a test livery. Looking at the amount of feedback in this thread I believe Sumoforum's Formula 1 game would be a very exclusive event. It seems like Sumo and Formula 1 don't fit together... .

Maybe you have this picture in mind: It's not Konishiki, but close enough. (I am not worthy...)

I am definitely interested in playing. But programming is a different topic... I'm organizing a small F1 game in an even smaller racing games forum, but it's only based on a simple Excel table without any formulas in it. To make the game a little bit more interesting I'm also illustrating every GP in this style: Malaysia GP 2005: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/Odor/Malaysia2005.png first 2006 cars: By the way... the 2006 season has probably only 18 GPs, as Belgium will very likely be excluded. :'-(

click on pic Incredible. (Eek...) Great photos, indeed. ;-)

As not everybody gave a link to the mentioned bouts, here are the missing links: Day 1 Roho - Kotooshu (Uwatenage...) Day 2 Kokkai - Asashoryu (Zabuton flying...) Hakuho - Asasekiryu (Showing respect...) Roho - Iwakiyama (Kimura Zatoichi...) Day 3 Roho - Kotomitsuki (Uwatenage...) Day 4 Tochisakae - Shunketsu (Clapping wildly...) Takamisakari - Kyokushuzan (Chucking salt...) Ama - Asasekiryu (Applauding...) Tochiazuma - Roho (Tsuppari...) Day 5 Kakizoe - Kisenosato (Oshidashi...) Miyabiyama - Kotomitsuki (Mickey...) Asasekiryu - Tochinohana (Dancing of joy...) Day 6 Hokutoriki - Tochisakae (Punk rocker...) Kasugao - Tokitsuumi (Showing off...) Hakuho - Kokkai (Kokkai...) Tochiazuma - Tochinohana (Yusho winner...) (Bow...)

For a while I was brooding on if I should expose myself or not... Okay, I will do it: I was almost 100% sure the face on the t-shirt belonged to this guy: But as Kaikitsune-san seems to be a treacherous person ;-), I cautiously voted for the second option... (Nodding yes...) When I think of a sullen musician with glasses, Mr. Gallagher comes to my mind first, then Mr. Lennon. At 29 years of age I'm a member of the Oasis generation...
