Care to share? The crowd seemed to be really into things all day. Was it a full house? Yeah, the crowd was great. It was certainly a sellout, but there were some empty seats--not that many. I'm guessing some of the tickets held by agencies, etc. either weren't sold or were unused (for instance if they were comp tickets, etc.). The first floor looked to be full, it was just some of the tickets in the middle sections of the 2nd floor. Being that I bought a general admission ticket on the morning of, I was in the very last row, which is where the livliest bunch are seated.

(I’ll try. I’m not Japanese, and Haru’s Japanese is a little bit difficult to understand for me). NHK: You got 2 consecutive zensho yushos. Congratulations. Haru: Thank you very much. NHK: Well done, Ozeki-san. Haru: Yes (smile). NHK: How do you feel now? Haru: Right now is my ideal image (?). I am thankful to my mother and father for giving me this body and strength. NHK: You’ve been in Japan for 12 years, and have been striving the entire time. Now, you have gotten to the top. Haru: This has been a great dream; and I have met many great people, and received so much support. Thank you to everyone. NHK: This was a basho in which to potentially become a Yokozuna. Over the 15 days, you didn’t appear nervous; you didn’t appear as just an Ozeki. How was your confidence? Haru: I tried with all my ability every day, to win all of my bouts and achieve the zensho. I strived hard. NHK: I think your sumo was like that of a Yokozuna. Do you think you are ready to move past Ozeki? Haru: I fought with all my strength. My aim was to just do my best. If people think so highly of my performance, it is very great. NHK: It seems that you are set to become a new Yokozuna. What sort of Yokozuna do you anticipate you will be? Haru: I will continue to strive to do my best and perform for everyone. That is my main wish. Thank you to everyone. NHK: Much congratulations. Well done. Haru: Thank you very much.

I was in the arena today. I showed up at 6:30am in order to get in line for a ticket, and was there from the start to the end. Amazing day of bouts.

Firstly, this is my first post so hello to everyone. I just tuned in to today's match in time to see Jokoryu win his bout. Looks like an interesting day of matches atop the juryo standings, with rikishi in each of the final 4 bouts (beginning with Jokoryu) all vying for the championship, each coming in at 9-4. Great stuff.
